Successful Kickstart: Thanks to all you backers!
On behalf of the staff at dodles, we thank you for your support and generosity in backing our project! Definitely was a close finish, but you guys pulled through.
On the marketing side, we will continue to focus on anime and comic cons, where we have been finding considerable traction engaging millennials (1800 unique email contacts from our last show). We are still learning on the PR side, but have begun receiving some local (TV news segment) and niche press during these shows and otherwise. Our combined social reach is now at about 10,000 people and another 5,000 email list. For dodles to be successful, it needs considerable community support and so we will continue to search for ways to expand this affordably.
We have made some inroads in the autism community, but feel there is more opportunity to be had as dodles is great way to provide income and training for people on the autism spectrum. We recently did an interview with The Autism Show to air soon and are hoping that will help us make further connections.
On the development side, we are going to do everything possible to take dodles to beta Sep 1, and have just completed a new internal build yesterday.
On the financial side, we have begun actively seeking additional capital. We pitched recently to a crowd of investors while at Momo Con in Atlanta and been having follow up conversations. We believe another $300-600K in funding would be very helpful to keep everything running smoothly.
Our deepest thanks again for believing in us and taking us to the next stage. If you think of ways to help us reach these other goals, please let us know.
