MARS WARS (Canceled)
War on Mars between the US and China, but we weren't alone. Attacked by aliens the countries unite to save Earth. For 2 to 7 players.
In 1967 the Earths governments signed the International Space Treaty agreeing that no government could claim ownership of a planet. In 2027 man went to Mars. With the discovery of a new element that allowed cold fusion the race was on between the United States and China for the ownership of Mars and this valuable resource.
As larger bases and mining operations began, the conflict became inevitable. What started as a fight between mining operations, it soon turned into a full scaled conflict between two superpowers. New weapons emerged, drone tanks, hover ships, and more.
But as in any war, there are unexpected consequences. With the mining of the planet, we had awoken something. Something that had been asleep a long time, waiting. It had woken hungry. It had watched as we waged war, studying, looking for weaknesses.
Man's greatest strength has always been its ability to come together in moments of crisis, put aside differences to fight a common enemy. As two enemies who once fought each other came together to fight for its very survival in -----THE MARS WARS.
MARS WARS is a game of military conflict between Chinese and US space forces comprised of Infantry, drone tanks, and artillery. As the missions progress, the Chinese and US join forces against an alien Martian life. Using our HOLD THE LINE system, you get scenarios giving you battles that will stand out in Chinese and US history --- Assault on Base Armstrong, The Defense of Ride Ridge, and more. Once the aliens appear you’re going to have to fight to hang on against the hordes of aliens, then root them out of their tunnels.
Each battle lays out your forces, objectives for victory, and the game board. Each turn you receive action points that allow you to order your forces to move and fight. The action points you earn vary from battle to battle and for each side. No two turns or battles will play the same.
Each type of unit moves, attacks and defends differently so using your forces properly is critical to victory.
The game comes with wooden blocks and labels for three armies (China, US, and Alien), a hard-mounted game board, terrain tiles, rules, battles, and dice. Designed for 2 to 7 players (it is playable easily solo by playing both sides as things happen that frustrate the best-laid plans). Insignias on the pieces designate at least three squads per country that can be played by separate players, plus someone can be the aliens. Scenarios are playable from 45 – 90 minutes. Ages 10 and up.
