Dam, that was fast! Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to seeing the game.

Thanks for latest update. I would rather wait a bit longer and have it done right than being rushed and things are missed or not right.
      Keep us posted.

Anything new or points of interest to update the backers with?

We just finished a game of Holdfast - Eastfront. Wow, what a streamlined and fun game. The Germans almost won, but then the Soviets retook Stalingrad. Kudos to a fun system. Highly recommended! :) Uwe

Will we be able to add the add on's during confirmation/pledge manager?

I'm also interested to know if the shipping is EU friendly or not.

Thanks @Erik Was hoping to be able to add either/both Eastfront and Pacific as I have an Early Bird pledge, and dropping that for the Dunkirk + Eastfront pledge would be wasteing my EB pledge...

Though I still need to confirm if Dunkirk is EU Friendly, otherwise I'll need to cancel my pledge anyway...so there might be an EB pledge available soon :)

    9. Erik The Big "E" on August 7

@ Kevin: They also have on for Atlantic, but I don't see one for Pacific

    10. Erik The Big "E" on August 7

      @ Kevin:
Looks like they have a tier that includes at least Eastfront.

    11. Erik The Big "E" on August 7

I am still in for this game, but had to drop my add on of Enemies of Rome. Had unexpected expenses pop up again. Seems like when ever I have tried to get that one, life gets in the way. I will look to get it in the future tho.
      Looking forward to
      Dunkirk: Fance '40!

For some reason, it was in my head that shipping for this (to Europe) was EU Friendly...but I cannot see this mentioned in the campaign, or in any of the comments...

Can I check if the shipping is in fact EU Friendly?

Also, good to see that you have some add-ons...but any chance you can include Holdfast Pacific and Holdfast Eastfront as add-ons?

      Thanks...

SOLO PLAY: As WP mentioned in a post below, the game plays well solo due to the Chit Pull mechanic, which makes the sequence in which Formations are Activated unknown. In addition, the cards from each player deck provide a wide array of options for each side. Rewarding solo play is certainly possible, as is play with three or four players, with two per-side working well, as players divide command of their side's Formations between them.

Randy, saw your observation about the Paris hexes! I don't think that will be an issue, as the victory conditions for the game are based on the Strategy Card the German player selects at the start of the game. Paris is not necessarily the only objective the German player might be pursuing . . . could be Dunkirk/Calais, could be the destruction of certain French army groups . . . there are a lot of possibilities . . .

      :-)

Thinking the map needs a few more hexes so if the French manage to place a wall units next to
Paris the Germans can surround and squeeze them into surrendering

Yes. We are reworking it. Stay tuned!

Might not be the proper venue to ask this, so appologies in advance, but is Mars Wars likely to relaunch on KS?
Just curious, really want to see that game come to fruition.

    20. car_boy on July 22

Thanks Worthington for the add on options!

      @Erik "SCI-Fi / WARGAMER":

Thanks Erik. Glad it worked out you got another opportunity. Thank you for the support

    22. Erik The Big "E" on July 22

Added on for Enemies of Rome, which I had to back out on for financial reasons when it was KS.
      Looking forward to both.
Will there be a Pledge Manager then? Or how do we note what the extra is for?

    23. Worthington Publishing 26-time creator on July 22

Now set up for some add ons

    24. Worthington Publishing 26-time creator on July 22

      car boy---

We aren't set up for add on's but I think we could let you add to your pledge for games you would want to add---just have to add a note.

    25. Worthington Publishing 26-time creator on July 20

Play both sides to best of ability. This works really well due to the chit draw.

Is it really a solo game? Or is "play the best for both sides" mode?

    27. car_boy on July 20

Hi Worthington. Any chance of add ons being offered if we want to combine different games with our pledge? Thanks.

The game is stated on the box as 1-2 players but I don't see anything in the rules about solo play am I missing something?

    29. Worthington Publishing 26-time creator on July 19

We just couldn't come up with anything that would work as a stretch goal. It does work out better time wise with no stretch goals as we are already sending files to the printer for proofs. Means you get your game quicker

    30. Mike on July 18

Fantastic looking game! I especially like the strategy cards and the 6 turn limit. I am a little disappointed to hear that there probably won't be any stretch goals when all the pledge levels include "all stretch goals reached during this campaign".

    31. Jimmy Palm on July 18

what is " Holdfast Atlantic". Is that something obvious?

    32. Worthington Publishing 26-time creator on July 18

      Probably not.

Will there be some stretch goals coming?

Wondering if add ons will be offered... I could be persuaded into adding a copy of Hodfast Pacific. Thanks!

    35. Worthington Publishing 26-time creator on July 17

Doug did a great job designing this and playtesting extensively over the last 2 years. The German strategy cards do a great job of making this more than just a "drive for Paris" campaign game. Depending on the German strategy card picked the main German drive could be for the coast, BEF, Paris, or a combination. The Allied player will not know and have to decide what to do.

    36. Erik The Big "E" on July 17

      I'm in!
Very intriqued by chit draw command mechanic(which I love).
The strategy and other cards should make for unique gameplay experiences in each game.

      Looking forward to this one!
