Support Victims of Sexual Assault
As a man listening the stories of #metoo movement has saddened and angered me. While watching the Kavanaugh hearings, I asked a good friend of mine what I—as a man—could do to support this movement. A friend of mine suggested I put a sign in my car window to show support. Just that morning, she had made signs out of paper and crayons and put them up on her car windows before taking her kids to school. This was a great idea, but I wanted something that could grab more attention and would be more permanent, so I did a quick internet search. Surely, someone out there had already created a bumper sticker that said "Believe Women"—a phrase I've heard repeated throughout this movement. But the search came up with nothing. So, I decided to create one myself (pictured above) and share it with my friends. When I showed the design around and asked who wanted one, the response was more than I anticipated. So that's why I'm here. I want to make this sticker a reality and get it on as many cars as possible. I especially want to see more men publicly supporting this movement because sexual assault will not end until good men stand up and refuse to let other men get away with it. I have set a modest goal of $120 which will cover the cost of printing, shipping, and the Kickstarter fee for 50 stickers. Any profit that this project makes will be donated to a local Salt Lake City charity that supports victims of sexual assault. So, buy one, two, or three stickers or donate more to continue to help and support victims of sexual assault and believe women.
Risks and challenges
I'm shooting for a modest goal of 50 stickers, if this project is more successful than that, it might delay delivery times, but I'm hoping that with the support of family and friends, we can get these stickers out to everyone who wants one as soon as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
