We are planning to do our first feature film, The Chamber of Alice Moreau. It is a Suspense Drama, tying three separate genres, noir, drama and horror into one complete story line. Each story is based off of the color scheme RGB (red, green and blue). The noir segment will be based on blue expressed through the plot lines, feelings and in some cases the cinematography. The red segment will address horror in the sense of a horrific experience, no necessarily the "horror" genre. The green drama segment will strive to create spectacular cinematic shots that draw a feeling of beauty and euphoria. All of these images and stories are tied together through one character's strive to find truth.
We plan to accomplish the filming by breaking it up into the three segments listed above. Treating each portion as an individual project. The goal will be to have separate directorial styles fitting for each mood and story line. Breaking the filming up in such a way will make the full length feature achievable. We have already attained the studio, basic film equipment and the script is complete. We have already acquired commitments from musicians to create the score. Casting will start locally within Indianapolis and grow out to try and showcase artistic talent in the midwest. We are in the process of story boarding and concept work is almost complete. Color and film testing is also currently in progress. The website is in the beginning stages. Please keep updated throughout our journey at, www.thechamberofalicemoreau.com.
The money will be used for set design, additional film equipment and professional talent. We will need to hire audio technicians to record and master the sound. Film equipment will included camera tracking, additional lighting, booms and a few tripods. Some equipment may require rental as opposed to being purchased. The Chamber of Alice Moreau will require extensive set design. We will need to build sets inside of a studio as well as on location. Funding will also be used for insurance during the filming.
