About this project
The Anvil Printer will bring your imagination to life in a way you never thought possible! The Anvil Printer is a 3D printing machine that makes the modeling and printing process easy for users, at an accessible price.
We set out to make our printer the most user-friendly machine on the market- every feature is designed with you in mind:
- Our printer uses auto-loading mechanics to feed filament diretly into the extruder, eliminating the need to manually insert the feedstock into the printer's hotend
- Our app uses a lego-like modeling tool that makes it easy for you to create whatever design you have in mind
- You can use not only USB wire and Wifi to connect to your printer. Our cloud server (located in the U.S.) allows you to send print commands wherever you are, and it will start printing automatically as long as you've logged into the cloud account
- It's even easy enough for a child to operate and won't set back your family financially
Our app is a simple modeling software that makes it easy for you to create your design. Have you ever built something out of legos? Then you have the skills to use our app! If you're not feeling especially creative, you can simply use one of our pre-designed templates. With the Anvil app you can:
- Build your model right in the app
- Adjust the shape and size of the model blocks
- Chat with friends
- Share your model with friends from your social media networks
- Send your model to the printer from wherever you are
- Beautify your model so that it can turn out to be a painting or sketch
As long as the printer is online, you can start printing from anywhere around the world. Our 3D printer will acquire its commands from the cloud server. Once you have completed your design, all you have to do is press the print button and the App will upload the design to our server.
FOR ADVANCED USERS
If you are an advanced user and know your stuff, you can control your Anvil Printer in Advanced Mode by using our PC client and connect to your printer through USB wire.
Both STL and Gcode are supported in PC client and you can edit your model more accurately by entering the exact numbers or percentages you want to adjust. Also, the alignment can help you combine your module or models much easier.
An Option to Use Your Own Filament
Anvil also has an special cartridge just for 3rd Party Filament. The only thing you need to do is to follow the graphic below.
Go Check the Detail in Our Updates!
The Anvil 3D printer easily fits in your home - it was designed with a minimalistic style so that it will blend in nicely with the rest of your space, giving it a modern look. Our printer's edges are rounded so that the cube is smooth and clean. It uses just three pillars instead of four to leave more space on one side, so that you can take off the printing item easier.
- One Anvil 3D Printer
- Application for iOS and Android tablets to design or choose whatever you have in mind
- Large network that allows you to control your printer wherever you are, as long as you have access to the Internet
- One hotshoe
- One cartridge of PLA

All kinds of PLA materials (multi-color) including woodlike PLA (wood) and flexible PLA (black); multi-color ABS; PC (White). We'll provide these material packages on our website and on online stores like Amazon etc. The "official materials" will be packed in our cartridges. Also, we'll provide a special cartridge for third-party materials (the customers will have to place their third-party materials in this special cartridge on their own).

- Where are Anvil headquarters located?
Anvil headquarters are based in Shanghai - 5588 Caoan Road, Jiading District - Most of our work including design and manufacturing is dealt with there. We have a subsidiary in Madison, Wisconsin where the work for our sales and public relations efforts take place.
- What if I want to print ABS?
If you would like to print ABS, we have a heated bed add-on available for an additional $28.
- How hot do Anvil's temperatures get?
Our hot end can reach 280°C and our heated bed 110°C.
- How can Anvil offer such low prices?
The reason why we’re able to promise our extremely low retail price, while also providing 25 micron printing resolution, is because we applied sets of worm reducer to our Z-axis and extruder assembly. This provides a much more accurate control of both Z-axis motion and extruding at a lower cost. Without accurate control of extrusion it’s impossible to achieve 25 micron layer resolution.
Risks and challenges
While we have been preparing and working with our manufacturers on a regular basis, we’re completely aware that some issues just can’t be foreseen. Should issues arise, we’ve developed an alternative process to keep things on track and we’ll still keep you in the loop every step of the way.
At Anvil, we’re all about transparency and will make sure to openly address any questions or concerns that might cross your mind. Driven by determination, we’re going to do our very best to deliver your reward on time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
