The Fightin' Indies Reward: Be a Rabbit-Ninja!
The guys who are making Overgrowth have added a copy of their cross-platform game to any tier of $50 and over. Now you can play the game that our haphead Maxine learns her fighting skills from!
Overgrowth features prominently in Haphead, and we have Sagan Yee (a classically trained animator recently known for her viral Earthbound-tribute video) doing the in-world machinima.
This game is not only a bizarrely beautiful brawler that bunny-leaps over the uncanny valley, it's a testament to what can be done with the indie model: that a 2 person team can create this kind of 3D world and also innovate in the procedural animation space is amazing. We can really relate to their do-more-with-less attitude!
Above is what you could get for $50: A Blu-Ray (or USB/DVD) of Haphead season one, plus all the extended world extras and the e-book ($40), Overgrowth for PC/Mac/Linux ($30), and the Fallen Toronto calendar ($15).
For folks that have already backed for $50 or more, you'll get a copy of Overgrowth automagically. All tiers of $50 and above get a copy of the game -- that means you also get Overgrowth with the Lo-fi Sci-fi Library along with all three of our DVDs (Infest Wisely, Ghosts With Shit Jobs, and Haphead season one) for $50 -- over a $100 value.
If you are one of the many Overgrowth fans who already has the game -- we have an Overgrowth Fan reward for you that includes this necklace/bracelet rune pendant, which will be created by our blacksmith actor Ryan Leis when he's not forging Overgrowth weapons on his anvil:
We're going into our last week of the Kickstarter and we need your help — we've cleared the 50% mark, but we only have 8 days left — if you could consider increasing your pledge or getting social on our behalf that would be amazing. (Tweet idea: Kickstart a cyberpunk web series about a girl literally empowered by videogames: kck.st/1vcYHhw #toronto). Also, if you're on Reddit or other communities that might be interested in games or sci-fi, love if you could let folks know.
