Every bit of your $57 pledge goes directly to production of your Sentry. Approximately 50% of the cost is in the manufacture and assembly of the circuit board, while the other half is used for externals such as the plastic housing, magnet, cable, and lens. The housing is understandably the single most expensive component of the device.
No manual driver installation is needed. The Sentry uses common USB interface device drivers that may already be installed on your Windows system. If not, your system knows which driver is needed and will quickly do an automatic installation when you plug the Sentry in to your USB port.
Hopefully just a few months. We'll need to arrange manufacture and board assembly as well as get the shells made and the whole unit assembled. We are also hard at work adding features to the software, and have some application integration and deployment tasks to take care of. We want to deliver the units as soon as possible.
