Which place is closest to your heart?
Choose any place on earth and turn its map into a designed, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
Anywhere...
Your hometown. An unexpected stop on a road trip that ended up being the most inspirational. That small dead end street where you finally got the courage to kiss...
How it works
On the online interactive map, you'll be able to enter any address or place and zoom or drag to finalize your frame. Your map frame will be further refined and embedded into your selected jewelry design at the studio. The virtual design will then be transformed into metal and plated with high quality 24K gold or silver. Keeping the personal touch in each piece, your map jewelry will be finished and elegantly packed before being sent over to tell your story.
The jewelry
At first glance, a graphic composition of lines, but with context these lines become personal, capturing memories, experiences and relationships. Choose the design to frame your personal map jewelry.
Collection designs
A lapel pin with clean and understated design, the perfect unisex piece to adorn any jacket or pocket. A pendant necklace with three different lengths available to choose from. A statement ring with an open back adjusting to fit your size. All of the collection designs are available in 24K gold or sterling silver plating with a matte finish.
*Standard necklace length included, medium and long will be available for a minimal additional cost of $3/$5 paid upon map creation.
Special editions
I added a few special editions to the collection especially for the Kickstarter release:
Want to be more specific? PIN has a specific spot marked on your personal map, making your piece of jewelry that much more special. A natural pearl will become the bejeweled map marker.
Called a few different places home? STORY features three or more different maps on one necklace, telling the whole story.
Not the minimalist? ZOOM is the oversized version of the place closest to your heart in a custom shaped statement necklace.
Packaging is part of the story
Each map piece created will come individually packaged in a beautifully designed gift box.
Why Kickstarter?
A central part of the creation process requires the use of a technology called Photo Etching. This technology can be made affordable only when producing high quantities. Through this Kickstarter campaign I'll be able to collect enough pre-ordered maps to start production. Your support will also help me continue the development of the technology, making it more efficient and scalable.

How I got here
For the past few years, I've been turning street maps into jewelry. I started with a collection based on nine cities close to my heart. Over time, I started getting requests to create new places outside my familiar territories. I’ve designed You Are Here: Create your map so that anyone can create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry while keeping the price very affordable. After over a year of development, and an experimental pilot that brought to life the most beautiful designs, I found myself in love with places I’ve never been to and telling stories of people I’ve never met. I can’t wait to share it with the Kickstarter community and share the process of creation.

Risques et défis
The process of making YOU ARE HERE available to users has been underway for the past year, with a successful pilot creating extraordinary one-of-a-kind map designs for users around the world. Thanks to this pilot, I'm confident I can transform any map submitted through the platform into a beautifully designed piece of jewelry.
I've spent the past six years creating 'The Urban Collection', a set line of 9 maps. Over these years I have tested the designs and materials and also established strong relationships with my local manufacturers and suppliers so I know exactly how the jewelry will be made and shipped.
I expect my biggest challenge to be operational, managing a large quantity of unique orders. I've planned and prepared for the launch and plan on using the funds for a production team to help with this stage.
