The 2nd Contemporary Israeli dance week is almost here

 Hello Everybody,

We are almost there. 13 more days to go.

Working really hard to make it happen.

There is a slight change in our program. We added another company . Danaka Dance who based in NY and 2 beautiful dance films. "Private I's Trailer" by Oren Shkedi and Dana Ruttenberg and " Alive Presence" by Noa Mashaal-Golan and Jacky Serero . Noa dances the story of her illness and healing journey. The film is inspired by the 5 rhythms .

At the same time we  are sad to announce that Renana Raz won't be a part of the festival. Money is still an issue and we couldn't find away to cover the show expenses.

You can find the full program at www.lamama.org  or on out FB page.

The program looks promising.!!

Hope to see you all or at least most of you  who can attend the festival.

Once again, thank you all so much

Michal.

Mission complete

Thank you all for supporting our project. It was almost against all odds. How often we get a hurricane and war at the same month?
Most of our target audience were running for their life at the last month.  Some recovering from Sandy and some looking for shelters to hide from unexpected missiles and yet we manage to complete our mission.
We still missing funds and will try to get it in the nearest future but we are ready to roll.
Hope to see all of you during the festival .
We will try to  stream live some of the shows.
Peace.
Michal

Dancing in the rain, 19 days to go

A week ago Sandy hit New York, and life has abruptly changed for many New Yorkers; As a Zone A resident I had to evacuate, our street was flooded and our small production office lost power (brrr) and Internet. Life is coming back on track now (the current NYC storm alert is peanuts in comparison).

The Contemporary Israeli Dance Week project lost a week but the timeline has not changed. We need to start the visa process for the visiting artists ASAP. This is one reason we need this Kickstarter campaign to succeed on time, as scheduled. The PR effort is another task that can't be delayed.

Thank you for your supporting the Contemporary Israeli Dance Week project. Right now, we are asking the help of all our friends in spreading the word about the project. Please share this projecct! - in Facebook, in emails, and even (gasp) in real life. If there's anyone you feel we should contact right now, let me know.

Here's an image of one of the awesome dance companies we're going to bring to NYC. We'll be sending more images in the coming days, so you can get a sense of the good things to come.

Thank you again for your commitment!
