Adia is a personal journey of exploration and determination. Following a hard blow to my confidence as an artist at the end of 2016, Adia felt like a rejuvenating rebirth. She came to me, lyrics and all, while I was ruminating on my path as an artist, and she figuratively caught fire.
I'm not necessarily a Sarah McLaughlin fan, but the lyrics to Adia felt like a letter to my Muse. I failed you, Adia, I let you down. I tried so hard, and it's easy to let go (give up).
This is my first fully planned and realized watercolor painting. I have done experiments and studies in watercolors before, however, this painting is the first intentional journey into a new medium.
Adia was created using FW Ink and Cotman Watercolors. The Limited Edition prints will be 16"x20" on Moab Entrada paper, a high quality Giclee paper that will showcase the vibrant colors of the original painting. As a backer, you will be an integral part of ensuring this Limited run of prints becomes a reality. In a way, you are also a creator. Without you, these prints wouldn't happen!
Risks and challenges
The art is complete, already scanned, and I have a quote from the printer. Risks are minimal and limited mostly to printing and shipping hiccups, all of which can be remedied quickly. I have one successful Kickstarter under my metaphorical belt, so I expect a smooth run this time around as well!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
