New Sculpts! And Other Things!
I know we’ve been quiet of late, but we’ve been hard at work making sure we have something big to show you before we pass out for the holidays. That means new sculpts, six of them!
First up, we have the Ashcarii Seeker* Marroc:
Next is another Stretch Goal sculpt, the Bile Beetle:
And with a face only a mother could love, the Plaguebeast:
We also have the Ashcarii Assent, Rodin:
We have the ridiculously awesome Fire Toad:
And, finally, the super-creepy Trench Watcher:
So, what do you think? We have several more sculpts that are under revision or being created; we should have more to show in January.
New Scout Cards
In addition to the Worker cards we showed last update, we also needed to add more Scout cards to complete the base game. Here is what our artist came up with:
Our awesome testers have reported back in and we’re getting mixed results on the early difficulty of the Hunt mode. Some are getting crushed (which isn’t fun) and others are making it out with some casualties (much more fun). In response, we’ve done some internal “worst-case” scenario sort of testing (rather than rolling dice in some situations, we give the creatures the best possible result) and it looks like the Seekers need a little help against Threat 1 creatures. We’re going to tone down (or change) status effects the Seekers can’t properly deal with early game, like Bleed, as well as take a hard look at some of the summons and high-defense creatures (like the Horned Golem). Our tentative plan is to release these updates along with the new card layouts next month.
