      @Kelson there are three forms of mazing. One is where the game levels have little or no pathing. The other is where the game levels have pathing defined with a multitude of path options and the player blocks paths to create the maze structure they want depending on the strategy they are using. The other is where we have pathing defined but also allow for a limited number of open areas where the player can define their own mazing if they want to.

      We wanted to cater of both audiences. Therefore the player has the option of both. Minimal mazing through to maximum freehand mazing. And the player can choose their preference for each mission.

      What we have built in Defense Task Force is the second two. the first starter game level has only two path options and if the player blocks the default path then creeps take the alternate path. The 7'th level has a large number of junctions where the player can divert the creeps path in a large multitude of different ways. The game levels beyond the 7'th level blueprint will include open areas combined with the above to allow the player to define their own mazing in those areas. However also something to note is that the missions themselves are modular. For each mission the player can pick the Blueprint (game level path options) that they want to use based on what they like the most. Minimal pathing / mazing options to maximum pathing / mazing options to maximum pathing / mazing options with open areas for freehand mazing.

      @creator Thank you! Are there maps where there is little or no pathing so you have to place towers to create a path for the creeps? If so, are these maps required?

      @Kelson Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The maps are a hybrid that balances mazing with defined paths. If you do not deploy a tower obstructing the units path then this would be the same as a pre defined path. However if you do obstruct their path then path finding kicks in and the Alien unit creeps select the next best path. This way you can play the game whichever way you prefer.

      Question: how many of the maps have defined paths for the aliens? I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer set paths or slightly customizable paths over open areas that you have to layout yourself. Thanks!

      @John Wrot! Thanks so much for your support and everyones support. To answer your question. The game does have a campaign mode which is fully functional. Part of what we are seeking funds for is to make the campaign mode nicer. For example by adding voice overs and s few short cut scenes. The campaign is divided into 5 regions each containing 4 sectors to create a total of 20 missions. Each mission can be played in a number of different permutations using various blueprints (path layouts for the aliens).

      AAAAnd just watched the video. A great story. That still means something to a lot of people.
      Please create a campaign mode. I am not an "endless waves" guy, and based on the design of most successful TD games, others aren't either. I believe a campaign mode is required for this to be a huge success.
