Project Relaunch

Posted by Richard James Errington (Creator)

This first go at a Kickstarter has been a great learning experience for myself and I'm eager to go back to the drawing board before relaunching this project. For those of you who want to keep in touch with information about Kingdom: The Space Exploration RPG I will shortly have a group up in Facebook and update the site at www.kingdom-rpg.com as more details come forth.

Expect to see more artwork, a demo downloadable module, and more when I start back up. I'm aiming for March for the reboot of the Kickstarter.

Thanks to everyone who has supported this project. We came pretty close (77% isn't too shabby!) and I think we can get there next time.

Cheers,

Richard

I will definitely keep things updated here at the same time. I will also shortly be sending out surveys to see what you all liked and disliked about the various levels I was offering. I will be trying to fine tune them for the next kickstarter.

I second scantrontb's comment: the best way to have updates reach backers of this Kickstarter is to post them right here.
For myself, I don't have a Facetube, and if I were to look for updates on every website of every KS project that I've ever backed, I'd be occupied 24-7...

when you DO re-launch, put an update on THIS KS for those of us that don't subscribe to anything elsewhere and may miss it otherwise in the babel of other KS campaigns... i know that KS lets you, because one of my first pledges is still sending info about their newer campaigns and it's been over 2 years since the original one funded

I think you,ve got a terrific concept & I will definitely be ready to offer the same level of support for your next attempt. I loved the idea of being a character template. Best wishes to you, please press on & stay in touch.

If I may make a suggestion. Perhaps next time you should try for different backer rewards. Not better, mind you, but just different. Backers at minimum levels still get access to an art-laden pdf, so instead of having lots of tiers it starts at $5 then jumps to $30 and $50 for the softcover and hardcover printings. You separate the pledges out in this way, so you really get an idea of how much people want this game. Because if everybody is pledging $5 for a pdf, then that tells you your goals might be too lofty. In the Dwimmermount kickstarter, they offered access to rough draft materials and offered feedback for playtesting, I would do the same thing. Show people where the project is and how it's coming along, but do so as part of a backer reward. It makes pledges feel like they're getting inside info.
      Just a thought.
I'm disappointed you didn't make it to your goal, but I look forward to supporting this idea when you present it again.
