Space Battles Module

Hello everyone!

We would like you to present our actual space battle module. What you saw in our main video presentation was only a mockup of how our space battle would look like. Here you have actual game footage, but please remember that this is only a preview as we are still working on this module, ships designs and special effects. Thank you for your understanding.

In our space battles, you will see planets with neighboring stellar phenomena. You will be able to move ships in all 3 directions, fire at enemies, and be able to conduct retreats, self-destruct or other actions as customary in strategic battles. These and others features will be added to the space battle module.

We believe our space battle module allows versatility for not just 4x gamers, but other gamers familiar with space battles ( like gratuitous space battles, nexus, homeworld etc ). We think you will enjoy this feature.

We hope that what you see here shows progress with our game's development, and that we are capable of delivering this wonderful game to You.

We are very happy to reach our goal! Thank you so much for your support, and we hope that you will still spread the news about M.O.R.E.

      Reading about gratuitous space battles in this update, this could be a optional way to handle Batlles especial usfull in slow Multiplayer games (like one turn/day or slower). (Only leaving to setting up the strategie and deployment of the fleet but with no actual way to interact during the fight)

      @Valeroth - yes.. it would be nice to show our ideas to you and others, but I'm affraid that it won't be ready until 28 October when our KS ends...

      The concept art looks very cool and I like the direction you are taking with ship hulls. So it sounds like each race will have about 50 different hulls pieces from which to construct ships. Assuming that each ship is only made of 4 or 5 pieces and certain pieces need to be in certain areas I'm guessing a million different possible combinations are possible (it's hard to tell excatly without knowing what can be mixed with what). The video is okay except for the fact that I was expecting more combat. This shows off the graphics engine behind the combat, but to be truthful I'm more curious about the game mechanic behind the combat. You talk a bit about it, and I like that it will be 3D. When you get to the point of ships fighting each other it would very cool to have a video with voice over talking us through an actual battle.

      Love it, I can't wait! The only thing is, it seemed a little dark, I couldn't quite make out everything... Besides that, it looks amazing!

      Great details on planets and the reflects on ships are nice.
      A strategic view is always a good idea IMO. Do you plan to have an auto-resolve option for combats ? When our fleet will be far superior to an enemy fleet I mean. It could help skipping too easy / boring battles. Or maybe enemy fleets could surrender or flee.

      @ Rodabon: don't mean to jump in here but it seems like he's saying he's considering pulling pledge money away from another different project.

      @IdeaLcenter: I love this. It kinda reminds me of a prettier version of GalCiv's combat/ship engine overlayed on a better 4x engine, which sounds great to me.

      I'm pretty sure I understand what your saying, but I still don't understand where you're coming from. This is one of the lowest kickstarter goals I've seen for a PC game development. These people are not asking for enough IMO for their ambitious goals and with how early a stage of development this game is still in. It is likely not even barely enough for them to get a basic working game going by Dec2013. They are going to be so over worked by then they will have earned every cent that they will not only have collected from this kickstarter but any profits made after that. And even after that it sounds like they are really passionate about this project and plan to reinvest some of that profit into expanding the game to add the things they won't be able to do now.

      @IdeaLcenter sadly People, inc. my self, go for big names first bevore even have a look to the side. But a big name is not everything and I'm nearing the point to withdraw my pledge from a project because they don't even put nearly enough efford into theyr KS for the money they look to gain in my opinion.

      The graphics quality is awesome! This kind of updates might motivate players to bump up their pledge to at least $70 to get the 'special spaceship design elements' ;)

      Thank You Rob. We only can wish, that more people will appreciate our work and have faith in us and our skills. Just imagine what we can do with M.O.R.E. if we hit e.g. $100.000 Unfortunatelly people preffer to make pledges on other games... although their projects do not show anything interesting.

      If you can - please spread the word about our project. If we can reach people playing e.g. Eve Online, Homeworld, gratuitous space battles, 4x strategies, nexus, StarTrek Online or other games of this type, we maybe could have bigger budget. Unfortunatelly we don't have support from celebrities, and we just starting our project.. so it's hard to collect more money. And.. if we collect more, you will get more M.O.R.E.

      Looks ace. and tbh IdeaLCenter there is no need to apoligize for a shaky camera or a mousecursor that is on screen. :)

      @Peter Jacob - There will be around 1000 hulls part...... There will be 20 different types of hull (bio, crystal, warrior brutas hull.. and 17 others). Every type of them will have around 50 block from which you will be able to create your ships! Ships in our VIdeo was made only from 4 spaceship blocks.

      Much more ambitious than I expected. Somewhat dismayed to hear there's only 20 ship hulls but making everything 3D must be quite an endeavor.
