We need to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of making Season Two of The Digressions. (And to re-pay a small loan that Andrew owes to a Dominican drug lord.) This includes camera equipment, microphones, lighting equipment, external hard drives, and if things go really well, we'd love to compensate the people who help us out along the way for their time and talents. Your help will ensure that each episode of The Digressions continues to live up to the high quality and hilarious standard you've come to expect (or dread) from us.
Season One of The Digressions has already received over 6,500 views on YouTube. That's 15 episodes written, acted, directed, filmed, and edited by a cast and creative team of only 5 people (with the help of a couple fantastic friends!). This same team (producers Andrew Dahl, Jordan McArthur, Aubrey Saverino, Eric Pargac, along with castmate Winslow Corbett) have put in well over 1,000 hours of work on the first season alone, along with a few thousand dollars out of their own pockets to make Season One.
Unfortunately, we're not able to sustain that and maintain our quality and frequency. That's why we need your help! We'd love to keep making The Digressions, improve the quality, and bring you a comprehensive second season - all while we continue to entertain you and make you laugh your ass off. And every dollar you give helps us do that. So, from the entire cast and crew of The Digressions -- thank you for your support. We love you! (Too much? ...Never too much.)
Risks and challenges
We are a determined bunch. Before we started filming Season One of The Digressions, only one of the four creators had ever been behind a camera and most of the team, while well-versed in theater, had little to no experience working in TV or film, much less a web series. But that didn't stop us. We buckled down and taught ourselves how to operate a Canon 5D Mark II, H4n zoom digital recorders, wireless lapel microphones, Final Cut X and GarageBand to compose our own original music for the series. We feel confident our determination, work ethic and capacity to spend hours in the same room together without tearing each other's eyes out, will help us overcome any obstacles that may come our way over the next year. Especially with the help of incredible supporters like you!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
