Your battery in your Pod has got too low as you have not used it for a year.
You need to master reset your Pod to resolve this.

so i just opened my adaptalux to try it now and it seems like the pod is dead on arrival? it won;t even light up when i plug it in to charge. any help? thanks!

Graham - I invest time and money into developing new designs. If I gave away my designs for free Adaptalux would quickly lose money, which provides the services, support and products to you and everyone else. I hope this answers your question.

Today, control pod stopped working.
It is completely thin out.
It is not that is not responding. At no charge or for inclusion.

The Android App is one of our top things to develop next.
We have drawn up the plan to develop the Android app and we have received the costs for it. We need to build some revenue up again before we can start work on it.

Also I wanted to add, that the pod's connection to the arms seems to be either dirty or a bit flimsy.
The top right connection seems to be off and it would not deliver power (or enough of it) to the arm, so the light was not consistent with the others. After a few ins and outs, it suddenly settled down it seems to be working ok. Depends on how I put the arm in, it sometimes flicker or just not turning on, but if I put it in and out again once or twice, it is steady.
I just hope it will settle down and won't need a replacement.

I got mine today.
The arms and light modifiers seems well built.
The pod itself while working well, the shell itself build quality seems to be on the low side (rough edges, buttons feels cheap).
App works ok on the iPhone 4s, connects quickly.
There is no indication whether it is on or off.

Got my Adaptalux today and it's great!
But while I was using it, the connection part on my white arm came off when I took it off the pod and now it won't work ☹️. What can I do?

My 1/4" mounting point cracked today. Had a sneaky suspicion it wasn't going to last given the position it was and the lack of loading space behind. Now hot gluing a RRS flash bracket nearing the front for better load balancing

Murad - Solvent welding the Control Pod was the best method we could utilise under the funds we had, it is something we will improve in future batches and more finances come available to us over time. We can ensure you though it is still incredibly strong!
Have received the kit - so all good - was a bit underwhelmed by the fit and finish of the control unit.
The spine of the unit is very coarse and not stuck together well.
Shame that !

I'm having trouble with connecting via Bluetooth. I was able to connect once ad control the pod. Now when I try to connect I get the message in the app that I've connected to the pod, then the app appears to get stuck with the message "getting pod profile".

I take that back. I got the green light and managed to enable sleep mode. I just can hardly see the green light through the super thin slit on the casing.
Unfortunately I can't seem to get the sleep mode to work. No matter how long I press the top button, no green light comes on. What's the trick?
Just received mine in the US. Very nicely packaged and looks like a great product. Very intuitive and easy to set up. Just waiting eagerly for the device to charge. Thanks
The system is designed to power off completely only when all of the arms are unplugged. You can put it into a user set sleep mode by holding down the top button until a green light is seen on the pod (6 seconds), then simply release the button and it will sleep. Simply tap the top button once to wake it back up at the same settings you left it at.
Although this mode effectively shuts it down, it will still drain some power so we advise not to leave it in this mode for more than a week.
I just received the pack. The pod definitely needs some polishing, but overall the build quality seems okay. How do I turn the system off without removing the arms?

Just picked up my Adaptalux yesterday and I have to say, I am super impressed with the build quality of the lights. The control pod could do with some polishing up, but overall I am extremely pleased. Can't wait to take this out into the field!

Hello Sam, I have a question to ask: do not know if you have already sent my ultimate pack, I from 9 September until 20 am on vacation and there is no one at home to pick up the package, you can delay the shipment to avoid that maybe you go back?

There is a reason most startup companies use Chinese suppliers and it is down to cost. A European supplier would cost at least double the Chinese rate and a UK supplier would be at least 4x the amount on manufacturing costs. Both were something we looked into but unfortunately with 100K, was not possible, China was the only way. Everything to do with this project has been a calculated decision based on factors such as cost, quality and time, and even though £100,000 sounds like a lot of money, to design and develop a 80 part product, 100K is a really, really tight budget.
Our key focus is getting this product to you and developing this company, which is why we have taken on the extra work of shipping, packing and even assembling the products here... REAL startup company stuff. If we had outsourced these jobs, again we would have ran out of funds a while back, which is a key mistake a lot of Kickstarter projects do.
Although it may take more time doing it this way, we are really confident you are going to love your Adaptalux when it gets to you and this is our key goal, to fulfil your Kickstarter pledges and deliver a truly amazing product that can be used for years.
Hi Guys - waiting anxiously for my set here in New Zealand. I am sure you are not alone in having supply problems from Chinese suppliers. Surely for a small start-up company, you could have found a European supplier or UK based supplier who could have made these parts for you at a competitive supplier? Or was it just a case of 'follow the crowd' to the cheapest supplier?? I look forward to your answer

Eyal - Expect to receive your pack within the next few weeks.

Oh the wait is killing me haha. I've got my Venus 2:1 60mm ready and when paired with my Sigma 2x tele converter it needs all the help with lighting it can get! For those wondering how close that is.. I can get an individual letter stamped on a 20pence piece to fill my D7100 Aps-c sensor hehe !
