WHAT IS THIS FILM ABOUT?
Crystal meth dealer AARON is a burly, bearded, alpha male Metal-Head who lives in a trailer with his beloved guitar and his naive and shiftless young cousin DAVID, with whom he takes care of and tries to mentor in an attempt to usher David into manhood. The seeds of our characters destruction begin to sow when David starts dating JESSICA, the far-too underage little sister of JESSE, a ravening-mad gutter punk and frequent client of Aaron. This union causes tensions to brew between the house of Aaron and the house of Jesse, until finally birthing a blisteringly violent and brutal reckoning at the film's climax.
WHAT IS OUR PLAN HERE?
Our goal with this film is to enter the Wolfman's Hammer into the next Sundance Film Festival for competition, as well as get national/international distribution of some kind. Everybody involved with this is pouring themselves into the project with the hope that it can, above all things, entertain and engage, as well as get enough exposure so that we can all continue to work at doing what we love, which is making movies.
WHAT'S THE MONEY FOR?
This project has been self financed and on a shoe-string budget, and so far we've managed to shoot a majority of the film this way. But the film has a violent climax that will need some funds to execute properly, and then there is the process of post production, which includes the sound-mixing, color grading, and editing. 5000 dollars is setting the bar as far as our target amount, so the more money this page gets, the better we can make this thing look and sound.
I believe this is the future of independant finance. This is where good and interesting ideas will come from. A place where you can take a pocketful of dreams, and once you put a good foot forward showing what you can accomplish, the community can nourish those dreams and ideas so they can help you make them a reality.
WHAT IF YOU SURPASS THE $5000 YOU'RE ASKING FOR?
GREAT! All pledges over our mark will go strictly toward making the BEST movie we can make, and frankly we need all the funds we can get because again, this thing has been mostly financed by myself, and everybody involved is working for free because they believe in the project. All of us have day-jobs/school/families and all the other struggles involved with daily life and everybody is pouring their soul into this picture, and will continue to do so until we are finished. Nobody is in this for the money, we're all in it, again, like I said above, to get our names out there in hopes that we can continue to work on movies in our various capacities.
Thank you for your time.
