February Update: team work, game progress and more
So there goes our first month as a team! Things have been progressing well and I am really happy to see all the improvements we've made to the game so far. Plus I can't deny that it's a bit more fun and motivating to have some talented guys helping me out!
This month we have been revisiting our tools, workflow and Seb has essentially started re-programming some of the game systems. There are a lot of things happening but I am keeping things under wraps until we have something a little more concrete to show you guys. All you need to know is that the game now boasts a much better frame rate, better console support, better tools which are accelerating the production (especially in the level design department). Ho and a much better physics system!
We added a Perks menu. I had the idea for a while and finally we got it done. Small bonuses that will allow you to customize the experience to your play style. Some for the character and some for the ship!
The intro cinematic polish is almost done. I like to spend a little bit of time every night working on it and at the moment I have two scenes out of three done and the music for it done so it's exciting to see it come together. One more scene to go!
