In 2002, the Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse staged a show--Gaston Boudreaux, the Cajun Robin Hood. It is a classic story of haves and have-nots reset in the bayous of Louisiana with a lively blend of magic, music, food, and heroics.
“But what about just livin’
Breathing in and breathing out,
Every minute your heart beating
To the music zydeco.
Feeling feelings in your brain
And thinking with your skin,
Really livin’, really livin’
In the skin you’re livin’ in
Just livin’ the life that’s real.”
"The play offered reflections on the need to pass on leadership responsibilities and that important struggles must often be sustained longer then a human life."

Tucki Bailey was the origina compeer for the score of Gaston. Now, for the first time ever in the history of YSKP, we are restaging Gaston Boudreaux, updated for 2013. The trouble is that we need Tucki to rescore the restage and we can't afford it!
Please consider donating what you can--any amount is good--so that we can make this summer's show sing with the birds and delight both the mind and the ear. Thanks!
Risks and challenges
Tucki is uniquely suited to work on the music for this new version of the show. She was the original composer and her insights will prove invaluable as we update the show. While it's somewhat in the nature of live children's theater to deal with curve balls, doing this without Tucki would be almost impossible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
