First, the buildup
An estimated 350,000 people visit Times Square every day and it is undoubtedly one of the most photographed places on this planet.
What's so special about this place? Among other things, the giant illuminated screens are believed to be the biggest factor. These screens are a perfect spot to wish your loved ones or market your business.
Needless to say, renting these screens is super expensive.
Why are we telling you all this?
Because you can now rent one of these big screens in the heart of Times Square for a very reasonable price between June 11, 2016 and July 8, 2016. This screen is right where the New Years ball drops, it is 36 feet wide and 20 feet high (with display area of 35.7 feet by 18.9 feet).
How is it possible?
This is where the power of crowdsourcing comes into action. We will rent out this screen in bulk and distribute chunks of it to backers of this project.
How much will it cost?
Sounds interesting? This is what you need to do next
Pick a date between June 11-July 8, 2016 and select the corresponding reward from the rewards list. Once the campaign meets its funding goals, we will ask you to submit a picture, a message (max. 140 characters) or a combination of picture and message.
After screening the content you submitted (read content restrictions section below) , we will display it on the giant screen for 15 seconds every 2 hours (between 6 AM on the chosen date and 2 AM on the following date). For eg, if you chose June 11, 2016, your content will be displayed on the giant screen for 15 seconds every 2 hours between 6 AM EST on June 11, 2016 and 2 AM EST on June 12, 2016.
Which means, it adds up to a total of 150 seconds and you can see it multiple times during the day.
Won't be at Times Square to see your message on the giant screen? No worries, we will share a link to live cam that will stream video of this screen during the campaign.

How will we use the campaign funds?
Renting a screen in Times Square is expensive. Most of the funds will go into doing so. But, that's just the start. There are variety of other expenses, including but not limited to - content collection, automated and manual content screening, design effort to showcase your content beautifully.

Digital screens at Times Square are always in-demand, mostly by big companies that don't want to miss an opportunity to advertise their brand.
To ensure that we get required screen time after the campaign is funded, we have made prior arrangements with our partners.
As with any project, technical problems can cause unforeseen issues. We will be monitoring the digital screen and live stream closely and will work with the right people to resolve issues as soon as possible if things go wrong.

Because of technical limitations, it is very hard to predict exact time. But, we will share 10 minute time windows during which your content will be displayed.
