"So This Priest Walks Into A Bar" is the first official production of Fidalgo Films, a new production company in Anacortes, WA. The movie is a morality tale, the story of a man who will do anything to uncover the truth. It is about 10 minutes long and will be distributed to numerous film festivals. Written by Josh Bourland, produced by Melissa Pang, directed by Mark Lundsten, with Kevin Sabourin as director of photography, and a music score by Charles-Henri Avelange, our cast and crew all live in the Puget Sound area. "Priest" is the start of a real movie-making venture, one that will use local talent and continue to build the film-making community here.
By early December, we will have our cast assembled. We plan to shoot in January, 2011, and do it on a very limited budget, with a large amount of volunteer labor, including the director and producer. We want to pay our actors, though, and many of the crew, plus we need to feed everyone, rent some equipment, and pay for post-production service. So we could use your help!
IMPORTANT: Our minimum goal for this Kickstarter project is $2,000, but our hope is to get as close as we can to $11,000, which is what we figure the production will cost. So please give as generously as you can!
Join us and be a part of the Seattle - Anacortes - Bellingham community of filmmakers, crew, and actors. Fidalgo Films plans to make more movies - we have a second script already in the "rewrite" phase. So get in on the ground floor, and stay tuned... we will be sending updates on our progress.
