Target in sight

Posted by Andy Heathcote & Heike Bachelier (Creator)

We are into the final 48 hours and less than £700 to go. The target seems so achievable. Wow! Thank you all so, so much. It really is getting exciting here, but now in a good way.

Just to let you all know that if we reach the £20,000 target, anything above this will be funnelled directly into promoting “The Moo Man” around the country, getting more people to see it and spreading the message. More on our ideas for this very soon.

Thank you all once again for making this happen, we are very optimistic and jumping around the office. Or at least Andy is. Heike has just boarded a plane to L.A. to show The Moo Man at Lost Angeles Film Festival (although confidentially she would much rather be sitting round the computer auto-rotating as the target gets nearer and nearer).

Best wishes

Andy and Heike (no doubt sipping champagne on a plane)

Thanks everyone. Velina, re your Q: the £20,000 is to be used on poster design, film trailer, pr company, film booker, poster and postcard printing, official legal film certification (£1,000), courier costs to move film prints around cinemas, fulfilment costs for the rewards and service fees for kickstarter and paypal fees and as many Q&As as we can afford. This actually amounts to more than £20,000 (nothing for us). But anything we get on Kickstarter above this could go into actual advertising, things like hiring poster space on the underground and the press advertising because the big platform cinemas will not book the film without this. The film can still be released without the advertising but will find it much, much harder to get booked in big cinemas. We can now definitely now release the film, it's a case of making the most of the brilliant resources we will now have like a great poster and trailer (more than half the budget). Funds can also be used to take Q&As further from home as if Steve has to overnight away he has to hire someone to milk the cows as well as travel and accommodation. If you need more info please do please DM me. Andy

I´m happy to see that the target will be reached. If, as you are saying, anything above £20.000 will be funnelled directly into promoting “The Moo Man” around the country, how are the £20.000 to be used?

So much for that "projection" - was it only a day ago? - that you would only reach £19,000!

44 hours to go - you're going to make it! And we'll be seeing The Moo Man in more than just the UK! :)
