About

In order to better promote awareness, this is who I asked to help out.
In order to better promote awareness, this is who I asked to help out.

This game was first conceived and hand-made back in 1995. Having been a fan of the classic Avalon Hill battle board games, I raised the level of sophistication by eliminating die rolls and combat resolution tables. For battle results, I wanted the players to rely less on luck and more on the skill of out thinking their opponents and also to play upon their opponent's fears and insecurities. By making battle outcomes as certain as any chess move, mental and emotional abilities are put to the test -- not the luck of a die roll!

Let's all remember that board games -- rather than computer games -- offer an experience, a human touch as it were, that cold (literally) calculating computer games cannot offer. Anyone can beat a computer game*, but there is so much more satisfaction in beating someone as human, flawed, and intelligent as you are. Let's continue to support board games!

What follows is the fanciful back story of this game that is a forward to the set of rules. Enjoy!

I actually wrote an ebook (on Amazon) called, "How To Beat the Monopoly App Nine Times Out of Ten."

Risks and challenges

The game board and parts are all manufactured in China. There should be no more than a three-week delivery window on their part. I have a completed set from them already, so there is no guess work (or wishful thinking) as to the quality or accuracy of the output. I control the rules printing, and the inexpensive shipping box (converted to a game box upon receipt) is easily obtained from a big box store (only a couple of blocks from my home).

Therefore, barring an embargo between China and the US, there should be no foreseeable problems with both assembling the games and the packaging/delivering of them.

Pledge includes shipping costs. Complete factory-manufactured (China) game, to include board and punch card pieces (infantry/armor squares).
