The Swindon Fringe Festival is coming back! After a hugely successful run around Swindon last year, with 9 award winning shows heading off to Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe and the West End, Madam Renards is putting together another great celebration of performing arts in Wiltshire from 1st – 9th April 2017.
Applications for the Swindon Fringe Festival 2017 opens on Friday 30th September and will close on Sunday 13th November. If you can play an instrument, tell a few jokes, perform monologues, master puppetry, juggle with knives, scream poetry, rap while painting or love dancing then apply! Swindon Fringe Festival is looking for as many local artists to fill up the Shoebox Theatre and The Victoria from 1st – 9th April 2017. You can apply via the Madam Renards website at www.madamrenards.co.uk The Swindon Fringe Festival wants everything from Family Friendly shows to Adults-Only, New Writing to Shakespeare, Workshops and more.
The Swindon Fringe Festival are also on the look out for sponsorship. With recent government cuts to arts funding and the cost of running events increasing, the Swindon Fringe Festival is already on a very tight budget. They need corporations, local businesses and even YOU to help fund the festival. Printing brochures, hiring technical equipment and ensuring the bar is well stocked between performances are some of the essentials this festival cannot run without. Swindon Fringe Festival currently guarantees all artists to walk away with profits from ticket sales after expenses have been taken into account. The more funding we can get to run the festival; the money we can give back to the artists. If you would like to make a personal donation, you can do so via Kickstater. If you would like to sponsor an evening, advertise your business in our brochure or feature your Food & Drink products then contact Matt Fox at firstname.lastname@example.org
The full programme will be announced in January 2017 and tickets will be on sale at The Wyvern Theatre shortly after. Keep and eye and ear out for further news via Facebook or Twitter to ensure you don’t miss out on the Swindon Fringe Festival 2017.
