Our Story ... from the chair.
With nearly 80 years of role-playing, AJ Schmidt and John Teske Jr designed a system where Heroes travel to ANY genre or adventure, preserving integrity of the genre and that of the character. Nearly a decade ago, we began this endeavor when the company that supported the largest tabletop rpg in the world shut it down to ensure the success of their fourth edition. For a short time, we replaced our thirst for role-playing with many great genres, supported by awesome companies, writers, and artists; with one BIG drawback. Our inability to keep the rules straight from the multiple systems kept us from truly enjoying the stories from various game systems. We could not find the replacement for the in-depth role-playing we desired. Thus, we started from scratch. We eliminated traditional levels for scaled skill advancement. Heroes gain story awards and role-playing points. With no levels, Heroes advance in the direction of the adventure or however they visualize their development at the end of every play session. Heroes then continue to play more adventures and develop indefinitely.
"UH focuses more on the story than the rules. The rules are simple enough to understand quickly and detailed enough to really develop a character." - Jeff Russell
Our system plays like 'old school' fantasy!
Players learn the UH system quickly, within ten minutes. The combat, expertise, and spell system create an atmosphere for advanced players to be challenged. Moreover, the Hero transfers to other genres seamlessly. Thus multiple world campaigns, traveling to other genres, and time-shifting adventures called paradoxals happen with ease. We need funding to expand two of our genres for public play: Bloodtooth and Araqunidia.
"UH really plays well into the strengths of a pen and pencil system." - Pierce Brooks
Our Expanding Worlds ...
Our Kickstarter serves two purposes. First, we need funding to expand two of our current genres as pre-mentioned. Secondly, we offer new players the resources to play the full system. It would not make sense to offer the modules without the previous lead-in materials and resources. To this end, we explain the full system as though it is the first time you have heard of it. Enjoy and Be the Hero!
"I love the roleplaying! The character creation puts you in a position to roleplay like no other game I've played." - Cameron Russell
The Bloodtooth core world represents a 1980s conspiracy campaign where magic and technology aid Heroes as they battle clandestine evil cults, monsters, and aliens. Governments will not confirm or deny such creatures exist. Similar to our own world, the history of Bloodtooth twists reality to create exciting and challenging adventure. Below please find the Bloodtooth modules we are promoting for this Kickstarter. Note that Russian Beauties is available as a stretch goal.
The people of Terra Prime, now called Araqunidia, lived a technologically advanced life before the invasion of alien Arachnids nearly two decades ago. After fierce fighting, the invaders wiped out the major Terran (human) civilizations. In a last ditch effort to thwart the aliens, the Terrans implemented a scorched earth policy. With partial success, most of the invading Araqunid fled, leaving terra-forming "bugs" to hold the world. Using advanced technology and limited magic, can the Heroes rescue this world in peril?

Risks and challenges
This is my first Kickstarter, but we have published before.
All of our books are published in the USA. At the time we set up the KS, the last books are in editing. We will make the November deadline in time for Holiday Break with plenty of time to spare. Everything is printed locally in Wisconsin with dependable print companies we have used previously. We do not anticipate any difficulties in production and might even beat the November deadline.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
