Thank you so much for the outpouring of support and feedback on our Shimi project. We are very proud to have accomplished so much in a short amount of time and receive so many wonderful backers. 

Unfortunately, as we are now all aware, we will likely miss our goal. However, the Shimi project WILL continue, and we still need your help!

Here's what we're cooking up in our lab at Georgia Tech: giving Shimi the ability to recognize a face and "mimic" the facial movements. This video shows how it works in a simulation - the next step is to build actual Shimi instructions from your body movements!

The Shimi Team is proud to announce our first app partnership with ZOOZ Mobile, maker of the awesome ZOOZBeat app, a top ten (Apple App Store) music reCreation and music game smartphone app. Check out their awesome new iOS game, ZOOZTunes, a music sharing and discovery game coming to iOS soon!

Together, ZOOZ and The Shimi Team will be building a competitive and exciting music game which will test players' pop music skills AND their reflexes. 

Shimi serves as game show host, ushering players through multiple fast paced, heart stopping rounds. Players are given snippets of popular tunes (and some not-so-popular tunes), and then have just seconds to guess the right song - don't guess wrong or Shimi will take away some of your points! The pace quickens to machine-gun tempo during lightning rounds. 

The Shimi and ZOOZ Mobile app will be sure to be a hit at your next slumber (or cocktail) party! (Groovy dance moves by humans are optional).

Note - we're almost half way to our goal. If each of our backers reached out to one friend and told them about Shimi (and they backed us), we would meet our goal! Spread the good word!

The guys at Keydesign provided their first renderings today, featuring shiny aluminum finish. Let us know what you think!
