Cast your mind back, lo those many stretch goals ago, to the middle of October. The fourth stretch goal we reached was fiction based on The Strange from Bruce Cordell and Monte Cook.

We promised Bruce and Monte would drop everything to get it done, with the goal of having it in your virtual hands before the end of the Kickstarter campaign. Do we deliver? We deliver!

You can get your copy of The Paradox Room, in PDF, MOBI (Kindle), or EPUB (iBooks) format, by following this link:

The Paradox Room is available to anyone interested in The Strange, not just backers. But to get a free copy of the book, non-backers will have to come to the Kickstarter page to grab that link.

So if you enjoy it, spread the word—it’s a great way to get other gamers interested in this world and this campaign. And as of this writing, we’re just a couple of backers away from another stretch goal, and a few thousand dollars away from the one after that!

Don't dawdle—there's only three days left. Every stretch goal we hit makes The Strange a stronger game line and gives you more bang for your backer dollar!

The Strange. Explore. Defend. Create.

(cross-posted in the Comments section) Did anyone have trouble loading the .mobi of The Paradox Room? I tried sending it to my Kindle email address so I could read it in my Kindle app on my tablet, and it can't load it. Never had this problem before with other .mobi files I've been given. Just wondering if anyone else has run into a problem. If I can't figure it out I'll just read the .pdf in a pdf reader on my tablet instead.

Really love the short stories MCG puts out - it really helps to give the worlds depth and show off what the game is capable of in a story-focused way. A shining example of what "translating" really means to the game world and the possibilities surrounding it. Great stuff.

Just like with "Tales from the Ninth World" in epub format The Paradox Room has no cover image nor any metadata attached like a title, author or anything.

This leads the books to look exceedingly out of place when imported into e.g. Apple's iBooks (both on iOS and OS X)

Could you please address this problem and ensure that the books released in the future do not suffer from such problems.
