Step a billion years into the future—into the Ninth World, where the remnants of previous civilizations’ technologies are indistinguishable from magic. Based on Monte’s Cook’s Cypher System, a new RPG system that focuses on story and ideas over mechanics.

Yes Ryan I have. I have received absolutely no response since they changed over to their own fulfillment system. On top of that, I sponsored The Strange at the $80 level and have received no info on that as well.

    2. Creator Ryan Blackstock on February 19

@ William Are you emailing ? Using either that or the Web contact form on MCG has worked for me in the past.

    3. Creator William Gordon on February 13

I have emailed Tammie several times and have received no reply. Not only on Numenera related items, but I haven't received a single thing for the Strange. I am only commenting here as I have exhausted every avenue I can pursue at this time. Ever since the switch-over, I have had no luck in any form of contact I have attempted. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement.

    4. Creator Monte Cook Games on January 27

Hi Jonathan and Chris! I've sent emails to you each.

    5. Creator Jonathan on January 27

I never did get the character creator app...

    6. Creator Chris on December 2

Still no code for the technology compendium PDF.

    7. Creator Michael Caldwell on October 14

For those of you that have yet to receive your copy: you have to "buy" it in the Monte Cook store. They send you a voucher in the email. I must have missed that when it was sent. Sort of a bass-ackwards way off doing things, but I suppose it makes logistics easier for them.

    8. Creator Michael Caldwell on October 11

      Still nothing

    9. Creator Terry McKelvey on September 20, 2014

I still haven't received my copy in Maryland yet.

    10. Creator Michael Caldwell on September 20, 2014

      Nothing here in Texas yet.

    11. Creator Dropbear on August 31, 2014

      My copy just arrived (Australia).

    12. Creator Michael Caldwell on August 31, 2014

No copy here yet, but I'm not altogether concerned; I have yet to even play the game, though that is due to my overly sensitive resentment. I'm sure it'll arrive shortly.

    13. Creator John Warren on August 27, 2014

I got my copy a few days ago.

    14. Creator Greg Morse on August 23, 2014

Mine just came. No email shipping notice beforehand, but they're on their way.

    15. Creator bphilipson on August 23, 2014

    16. Creator Neal Dalton on August 9, 2014

I got my link and the coupon to order my hard copy.

    17. Creator Michael Caldwell on August 8, 2014

      I didn't....

    18. Creator Bill Ogden on August 8, 2014

Just got my link for Sir Arthur's in pdf form

    19. Creator Dropbear on May 19, 2014

@MCG Are we still on track for a May release of Sir Arthur's Compendium? And any news on the PC version of the App?
Could do with another update, nearly 4 months since our last one!

    20. Creator Eduardo Venâncio Soares on May 12, 2014

There's any news about the Ninth World Guidebook?

    21. Creator Michael Spinks on April 28, 2014

After the bestiary, when is the next piece of the KS due out please? Thanks.

    22. Creator Kairam Ahmed Hamdan on April 22, 2014

Man, I just got my Bestiary today. Are we back in the days of pony express or surface mail? Three months plus to deliver a book to Brazil? USPS and Correios are lame.

    23. Creator Ryan Blackstock on April 14, 2014

I just cant back that one, there are typos all over the place and we do it the opposite way, in that we know the Difficulty and then multiply by 3 to get the Target number on the d20. Multiplying by 3 does not take a lot of time when the highest number would be 30.

    24. Creator Troy Pichelman on April 8, 2014

Hello all, friend of mine is doing a kickstarter related to the Cypher System (Custom Dice with level numbers.) Check it out if you are so inclined:

    25. Creator Michael Caldwell on March 8, 2014

Credit should go to AEG, not MCG. Monte's gang was completely content providing us only a shadow of what was promised. AEG stepped up and did the right thing. MCG did not.

    26. Creator Magentawolf on February 27, 2014

I also received the new lid for Thunderstone. For anyone keeping record, the post office mangled it something fierce, however I'm fine with the original box.

    27. Creator Greg Morse on February 26, 2014

New cover for Thunderstone just came in the mail. I was expecting a slip cover, not a whole new box top. That is excellent customer service. I'm really impressed how MCG and Alderac went above and beyond.

    28. Creator novakowski on February 15, 2014

still waiting for Bestiary i have not heard back on what happen.

    29. Creator Neal Dalton on February 6, 2014

      I got my bookplate too.

    30. Creator Mike Loftus on February 2, 2014

My friend Don got his bookplate and a nice note to go with it. It looks nice!

    31. Creator Conrad Murkitt on January 29, 2014

I am reliably told that the bookplates will be going out this week for all of us who are waiting. Hope it was worth the wait :-)

    32. Creator Karsten Kopplin on January 22, 2014

Scratch that, found the Bestiary email. I'm obviously blind.

    33. Creator Karsten Kopplin on January 22, 2014

Received my hardcover Bestiary here in Germany today, still waiting for the email for the ebook. But I got an email for the creature deck recently, so there's that. :D

    34. Creator Relborn's Wonderland on January 18, 2014

is the pdf for the beastary book already sent to everybody? Seems like i did only got the pdf for the cards so far.

    35. Creator Bill "Wystan" C. - Brigand #2 of Valoria on January 17, 2014

And the updated email just arrived... :)

    36. Creator Bill "Wystan" C. - Brigand #2 of Valoria on January 17, 2014

      I will try that again.

Got a code for the Creature deck that loaded the Bestiary at Drive Thru RPG instead...

    37. Creator Bill "Wystan" C. - Brigand #2 of Valoria on January 17, 2014

Code an email stating it is for the Creature Deck that loads the Bestiary? :(

    38. Creator Greg Morse on January 17, 2014

Received mine today as well. Bestiary packaging was very good and the book survived the journey intact. Quality is excellent.

    39. Creator Doug "Dhomal" Raas on January 17, 2014

I JUST received my Hard copy of the Bestiary! Looks Beautiful! And while the Box was somewhat munched, the bubble wrap did its job and it arrived in Pristine condition!

      Thanks MCG team!

    40. Creator Neal Dalton on January 16, 2014

After a brief look at the book, the unique nature of the creature and the art of the Ninth World Bestiary is only rivaled by the creatures and artwork of The Encountered book of the Alpha Omega RPG.

In the case of the latter, I've seriously considered adapting the creatures in that book for Numenera.

    41. Creator Neal Dalton on January 16, 2014

I got my ebook version of the bestiary last night.

    42. Creator Mike Loftus on January 16, 2014

Bestiary backer here. Fantastic! Thanks so much for the awesome work on my creature. :)

    43. Creator Carnus on January 15, 2014

Are there any updates on the signed bookplates being sent out for all those collector's edition books that weren't signed?

I posted here and sent an email but have had no response

      Thanks in advance

    44. Creator Matteo Signorini on January 15, 2014

Just downloaded the bestiary and it's fantastic, really a great book.

    45. Creator Michael Spinks on January 11, 2014

Will there be an update on the progress of the Numenera KS soon?

    46. Creator Ryan Blackstock on January 2, 2014

@ Michael. Its funny you mention Palladium, I live pretty close to their warehouse and bought a lot of stuff after some kind of scandal/embezzlement had threatened to destroy the company(?). This was several years ago but I have always liked their books (the system i am just kind of neutral about). For years they used to give out free copies of The Rifter at local gaming stores.
I'm guessing you bought all of the books (many not released yet), so I really hope that you will use them. It may be a MCG Product but its YOUR game.
I'm not one that loves Game Mastering by any means, but the system is really simple that even I drew up a small story arch for our group so they could get the feel of it.
I look forward to backing other projects together.

    47. Creator Michael Caldwell on December 24, 2013

No worries here, friend. Yes, I'm bitter, but at this point I should just get over it. I've got $1300 invested in this game. I took a chance and was so extremely disappointed by the treatment. They took my money and didn't seem to care after that. Shanna was great, though, I'll say that much. My whole group was excited about me running a Numenera game (some of them backed, as well) but after the way I was treated even they have lost interest. I've read only a handful of pages. We've gone back to playing Pathfinder and will be starting a Dead Reign campaign. If you want to back a company that LOVES their fans, then Palladium is the way to go; been playing Palladium games for almost 20 years. Monte Cook Games could learn a thing or two about how to care for fans from them. I didn't even look at Strange, so disappointed.

But the books are great. The art is wonderful. It's time I get over the BS and crack open the books and give my PCs what they want. I will say, though, I'm likely done buying or backing anything from MCG. No more expensive broken promises, thanks.

    48. Creator Ryan Blackstock on December 22, 2013

@ Michael. I'm sorry you feel that way, but I understand. I had a bad experience with Onyx Path, and so even though I finally received Mummy: The Curse, I havent even cracked the cover open.
Its sad to think you have Dalthius and could run a great story where PCs learn about him and who he is,kind of like a character focus that might parallel a plot. I guess he wasnt as detailed as you thought he was going to be in the book.
If you dont want to talk about it here, feel free to email me at blackstock05 (at) comcast (dot) net
You seem like a cool guy and I think we have backed several of the same projects before

    49. Creator Michael Caldwell on December 19, 2013

*at Monte Cook Games not "as"

    50. Creator Michael Caldwell on December 19, 2013

Yup got the data, thx! Hopefully they follow through and treat their fans better than the folks as Monte Cook Games. I've pretty much written them (and the game) off after the way they have treated me.
