Help Us Release Our Debut Album!
After a decade of paying dues and building a reputation as DC’s Finest Blues-Fiddle Band, The Roustabouts are ready to release our debut album: Plenty of Blues. But we can’t do it without you. We’ve been scrimping and saving, and need your help to carry us over the finish line.
Over the past several months we’ve been toiling away at Tommy Lepson’s Area 51 Studio, catching lightning in a bottle and recording 11 of our most popular original songs for you—the RoustaCrowd, the best fans in the world!—and now we want to give YOU something special in return for your amazing support.
In addition to our talented core—Andrew Wiley (soul-singin’), Pete Daniels (fiddle-fingerin’), Dan Shine (gee-tar slingin’), Jeff Muller (bass-thumpin’), and Phil Bucci (drum-beatin’)—we’ve recruited the help of some musical friends, who happen to be DC-blues heavyweights, to take our music to the next level—for now we’ll just tease you with thoughts of keys, harp, and added vocals, so stay tuned for updates! Plus, if we can get enough support, we’ll even add horns to a few tunes!
So you may be asking, “How can I help?”
Our goal is to release the album this Fall, and there’s still a bit of work to do to make that happen. This is where you come in, because we need to do this together!
Pick a level of support from the rewards menu and help us make this decade-long dream a reality. Plus, you’ll get an album of some of the most exciting blues-and-beyond music you’ve heard in a good long while, along with a few other exiting rewards like non-stop shout outs or maybe a gig just for you! All pledges are greatly appreciated!
We could also use your help sharing our story! Post this Kickstarter page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and beyond to share it with your friends and family. Please and Thank You!
Risks and challenges
There are always some unexpected twists and turns when recording an album, and our timeline is an estimate. We will do our very best to deliver every reward within the estimated time and promise to keep you informed along the way—posting progress reports here on KickStarter—so that if there are any unforeseen delays with the album or anything else you’ll be the first to know!
This is 100% a win-win situation. If we DON’T hit our goal, you pay nothing. If we DO hit our goal, you’ll get an album that you helped bring to life!
Now it’s up to you. Thanks in advance for making this a reality and for helping us spread the word—we look forward to making sure the world has Plenty of Blues!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
