Belated, but congratulations on your launch!

Just wanna say that I still wear the shirts I got from you and the Venus Patrol guys on a regular basis! (The color is unique among my tee wardrobe, going well with my black and blue bottoms; closest elsewise is a standardly orange tee from, shoot, a decade-&-a-half ago.)

David we already made the large shipment of statues, but we had yours shipped to us so that we could send it out once we got your info. Thanks for getting back to us!

    4. David A. on October 21, 2011

Just realized I had to complete that survey to have the statue sent my way. DERP! Thanks a lot guys, all the best with the project! Looking real savvy-like.

    5. Octodad Creator on September 29, 2011

Well thanks. : ) We <3 you all as well!

Just wanted to say, I love you guys.

    7. Octodad Creator on August 24, 2011

No need to worry, that's a legit question. Yes you submitted your size properly. We're still about a week away from being able to even use the Kickstarter money so it's still going to be a bit before everyone gets their shirts. We have to order them in bulk and get them sent to us first. Then we'll be shipping them to you guys.

Also, I absolutely adore the banana physics in the new level. I laughed so hard that it hurt.

I hate to sound rude, but I was simply wondering if I had confirmed my t-shirt size properly.

You just wanted us to send you a message through kickstarter telling you the size, yes?

Also, any idea when we can expect the shirts? Can't wait to rep octodad :D

    10. Octodad Creator on August 20, 2011

Sorry about that Steviedoors. :( We're aware that there are still a few bugs in the first game. Although, all of our attention has been put on the new game now and in making it the best Octodad we can. The new game won't be nearly as buggy as the first and we're doing a much better job at planning out how to rid ourselves of problems like the one you mentioned.

I was enjoying the extra levels, then Octodad got stuck in a door and I had to restart the game again. I was sad face :(
Still, looking forward to playing the rest of the extra levels. I'm interested to see more of Octodad's backstory.

    12. Joshua Hernandez on August 4, 2011

Excited to help! Don't do more work on our account. We will take some T-shirts though ;)

Thank you guys! We really like how the interview turned out. It was our pleasure.

Couldnt resist the elegant charm of Octodad and the very promising sequel he's to star in. I've got high hopes for this project, so give it all you've got guys! I'm certain the tears and sweat put into it will come out in the best possible way. Regards.

    20. Octodad Creator on July 16, 2011

Thanks a lot, Rob. Spread the word far and wide!

    21. Robert W. Polzin on July 16, 2011

Rooting for you guys the hard part comes now that the initial surge is over. But from the looks of it you should make it. I'll keep spreading the word and hope to see those numbers keep climbing.

    22. Octodad Creator on July 16, 2011

Thank the Freelance Astronauts for us! They created one of our favorite "Let's Play" videos. And thank you for the support!

    23. The B on July 15, 2011

Heard about this from the Freelance Astronauts (…), and just had to throw my hat in. Good luck!

Henry- We hope to be able to fulfill the pre-orders through Steam, but it's unknown what all distribution channels we will actually go through when it's released. As far as the beta testing goes, it's both! It would be done in the late stages of development, so that you're playing more for fun-testing rather than bug-searching.

Hairball- Shipping is included in all of the pledges!

Will there be an additional fee for shipping if I get a t-shirt?

Just like to ask a couple of questions. Firstly, with the pre-order, would it be able to get the steam version your planning to do, or will it just be a straight download of the game as itself. Secondly, with the early beta testing, will you actually want us to give feedback of what we think and report any bugs, or will it just be like an early demo to tantalise us?

    27. Octodad Creator on July 14, 2011

We would honestly love to go Glenn, but it mostly depends on if we succeed in this Kickstarter or not. We definitely have some things we could show off and I know we'd love to rent a booth, but we need the support from fans to do so. It's looking good right now and we're really glad everyone is being as supportive as they have been. Thanks for your support and lookout for when our prizes update because there may be some new things that might interest you more than our current offerings. Best wishes.

So happy to support this game, considering bumping up my pledge but it'll have to wait until my next pay check. Any chance you guys will be at PAX Prime this year?

    29. Octodad Creator on July 13, 2011

Brian - Yes, T-shirt sizes will be sorted out after the KickStarter ends. Thanks for your support!

    30. Brian Wulff on July 13, 2011

Donated 35. That t-shirt looks too awesome to pass up. We will have the option to pick out size right?

There was nothing funnier then trying to put cups and plates in the sink and accidently smashing the kitchen up like Kenan & Kel. I Donated 35 Squid (bit of english humour there).
      Keep up the good work!

Happy to support Octodad 2! If possible, could I please have a plushy instead of a poster? Thanks and good luck!

    33. Octodad Creator on July 12, 2011

That's good to hear Steve! Luckily a lot of the new stuff in the trailer is also a work in progress. Things will be even better for the actual game. Thanks for the donation!

    34. Steve on July 12, 2011

Pledged $10. This is all round a selfish donation, partly because it makes a game I really want to play a reality, and partly because it is essentially a pre order. :3 You can thank Notch (and of course yourselves for making such an awesome game) for that $10, since he tweeted about this (which is how I discovered the first one too :D). Was it him that donated $1000? xD
Also, my only criticism for the first game was the spider bit. The sudden reliance on precision felt out of place in a game like Octodad. Good luck with the second game anyway, everything in the trailer so far looks promising :)

I sent you guys $100. Thanks for the first game and good luck on the new one!

    36. Kenneth Carlisle Ward on July 11, 2011

Donated just 5, would have donated more but I spent a boatload of money on the Steam Summer Sale... I'll raise my donation if I really have to - but it looks like you'll be okay.

    37. Octodad Creator on July 11, 2011

We all really appreciate everyone's support for us and the game! It's amazing what everyone has accomplished in less than a day's time. Keep it up everyone! We'll be updating the page with FAQ information soon.

I still have the original installed; Nothing is more therapeutic than struggling to be an octopus with an uncompromising and problematic lifestyle then going back to reality where where life seems oh so easy in comparison. A sequel would be very welcome.

    39. David Armstrong on July 11, 2011

Great to see this happening. The original game was one of the most original, fun and hilarious games I've played.

    40. Honest Dave on July 11, 2011

So pleased to see this up on the go. I remember playing the original when it was featured up on, and yet again they've pointed me over to the project. So you guys owe them or something, at least for my pledge anyway.
