About this project
WorldFest is Los Angeles’ only all-vegan, green, compassionate-living festival. The festival is produced by Towards Freedom, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, and on May 20, 2012 we will hold our eleventh successful festival.
We are passionate about producing this earth-friendly festival because it brings all types of people together for a day of fun, entertainment and education in a family-oriented way.
This year, WorldFest will have over 15 bands on three stages, and speakers on five stages. We will have celebrity speakers such as actress and comedienne Debra Wilson, NBA All-Star and health advocate John Salley, cartoonist Dan Piraro, actress Alexandra Paul, actor William McNamara, director of the Big Fix and author Tosh Tickell, and many others. Also at the festival we will have over 120 exhibitors, animal adoptions, and a Kids’ Kingdom where we are able to impart to children how important the planet’s health is and what each of us, no matter how small, can do to make a difference. In addition, the Eco Tent, Healthy Hut, and Animal Film Pavilion, are three not-to-miss exciting festival venues with inspiring speakers and activities.
Why support WorldFest? Because WorldFest makes a real difference!
Here are some fun facts about last year’s festival:
• The festival motivates and inspires! An impressive 68.6% reported they planned to take action and contact on organization they discovered as a result of attending WorldFest.
• Animals’ lives are saved! When asked if they would consider switching to a veg diet after attending WorldFest, 11% of the respondents said YES, which results in approximately saving 27,500 to 55,000 animal lives each year!
• People have fun! 98.5% of the attendees would recommend the festival to others and would return next year!
WorldFest is the best food and music earth day festival in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area! It truly is one of the most important events of the year for this area which positively impacts many lives.
