An adventure game based on Homestuck, by Andrew Hussie.
24,346 backers pledged $2,485,506 to help bring this project to life.

$1.75 million + about a week to go!

The $1.75 million goal has been reached, so we will now be developing a making-of art book as the game is being created! Future stretch goals will be revealed in due time.

There are only 6 days to go before the Kickstarter ends. If you want to be a backer and pay with Amazon Payments, you have until precisely Thursday Oct 4, 2:26pm EDT. If you're only able to make online payments with PayPal, we'll have a pledging option available for you after the official Kickstarter ends on Oct 4. The same rewards will be available, but the option will only be there for a small window of time. Maybe a week or two, so we can start preparing and shipping rewards in time for the holiday season. We expect everything to go out in time to arrive for the holidays, particularly for recipients in the US and Canada. Keep this in mind if you haven't pledged yet-- all these rewards would make pretty great holiday gifts! You can divvy up the rewards as nice gifts for several friends.

As ever, we really appreciate the support you've all shown us and this project. Thanks so much to all you awesome guys and gals!

      I finally made my pledge!
Feels great. I can't wait to get a ton of goodies in the mail, and I'm also interested in seeing the new reward tier.
Homestuck fans are just too merch obsessed for hussie to update kickstarter in time with them. I really look forward to this game.

    18. Creator Matt LaChance on October 1, 2012

yeah man AH had better not come out with any limited-edition merchandise in the next couple months; that would be such a mean thing to do

    19. Creator Ricci on October 1, 2012

We are the fandom that gives up our cash. In three days, we shall be known as the broke fandom.

    20. Creator Samuel Driskill on September 30, 2012

come on guys we're so close!!!!!!! we can do this!

    21. Creator John Smith on September 30, 2012

      You know what?
I bet if they added more opening to the SNOUTPAK, there might just be a LOT more people who pledge up to it.

    22. Creator Bradley Trout on September 30, 2012

Come on, we can make it to $2 million! Tell your friends! Tell your friend's friends! Heck, tell your friend's friend's friends!

    23. Creator Sandy Sanger on September 30, 2012

      @Jenny: you get to choose

    24. Creator Jenny on September 30, 2012

Honestly, I'm not sure whether or not I should upgrade my pledge to get the physical copy because I'd get it in a heartbeat if it was a USB but if it's a CD...eh. It's admittedly NOT as cool. Does anyone know if we can choose, or if it's just TBD? Maybe my comment can help sway the decision somewhat.

    25. Creator Basil Yap Ji Tsing on September 30, 2012

just curious, who and how would the art book be obtained? O__o

    26. Creator Sandy Sanger on September 30, 2012

...I like the stickers... I don't see what's wrong with them :( ... they're a fun bonus that Hussie can give out without spending too much extra money... and @Ava: wow... tragedy of the commons in action O.o

I just keep hoping that one day this will all lead to Homestuck for the 3DS or something. Like all these donations past that initial goal will lead to the most kick-ass game ever (like it wasn't going to be already!), and then someone at Nintendo would be like, "Damn!" X3 A girl can dream...

    27. Creator Ava Hoffman on September 30, 2012

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE NEW REWARD TIER PERK IS SO PEOPLE DONATE!!!!!!!

    28. Creator Timothy Mueller-Harder on September 30, 2012

@Ben Christiansen It'll most likely be available in the store, as he didn't say a tier. It simply says it will "be developed", presumably for sale rather than an additional reward.

    29. Creator Ben Christiansen on September 30, 2012

I'm wondering which packs will receive the making-of art book for the game.

    30. Creator Peter Barry Lamont Brown on September 30, 2012

Will the paypal payments count towards the kickstarter tier rewards?

    31. Creator Strawberry Milky on September 30, 2012

i wanna know what the 2.5 mil perk is, doubt we will get it i just wanna know

    32. Creator Edriel on September 30, 2012

      comment

    33. Creator Makayla Watson on September 29, 2012

I'd love for the 2mil perk to be all 150+ tiers getting a physical copy of the game (unsigned), but I doubt that would happen.

    34. Creator Michael Dyson on September 29, 2012

"Question: if the official Kickstarter doesn't quite make it to 2 million, but then enough people donate in the Paypal period to bring the Kickstarter+Paypal total past the 2 million mark, does the new reward tier perk get unlocked?"
I would also like to know this. Any chance of this going on the FAQ?

    35. Creator Strawberry Milky on September 29, 2012

@romi: the higher tiers actually include the Gamepak2; I went for the 380 which includes the gamepak2 and seer and slick packs and im considering if i wanna upgrade all the way to the 605 for the snoutpak included as well....hmmmmmmm

    36. Creator Marissa on September 29, 2012

Ah... I was just wondering about the making of book. Is it something that will come out with the game or will it be something we have to buy at a later date? I'd assume the prior but I thought I'd ask.

    37. Creator Platonix on September 29, 2012

Question: if the official Kickstarter doesn't quite make it to 2 million, but then enough people donate in the Paypal period to bring the Kickstarter+Paypal total past the 2 million mark, does the new reward tier perk get unlocked?

    38. Creator Eric Wang on September 29, 2012

Sigh. So much swag and so little money. Hope most of the awards make it to the WP shop.

    39. Creator Romi Golan on September 29, 2012

That's a good point, I never thought about it that way. I'll just stick with Gampak2. Maybe if I'm lucky the tarot cards will end up in the shop.

    40. Creator Nobodi on September 29, 2012

      @Romi Golan
I agree with you. I would love to have a signed physical copy of the game, as well as the Seerpack. I, however, am content to be recieving even one of the perks.

    41. Creator Suave-Strider on September 29, 2012

@Romi If all 150+ tiers get the physical copy he'd have to make and sign an extra 1958 copies of the physical game not to mention how big that number may increase with last minute buyers.

    42. Creator Makin on September 29, 2012

Probably because Andrew Hussie doesn't want to have to sign 8000 copies of the game.

    43. Creator Ilya on September 29, 2012

Only the ones with "Gamepack 2" will get a physical copy. Not sure why, but that's what it says.

    44. Creator Romi Golan on September 29, 2012

The only thing keeping me from updating my pledge from Gamepak2 to Seerpack is a lack of knowledge on the perks. I want the SIGNED physical copy of the game, will I get that with that Seerpack? Or just the digital downloads as stated in Gamepak1? Why don't 150+ tiers get the physical copy?

    45. Creator Ilya on September 29, 2012

@trilbyDude (and Miamoto): I totally understand; I upgraded my pledge even, so I could get more "dumb stuff" from the packs. Although, it's mostly because I'm organizing a can town in my area, and I want to hold a raffle during it. Guess where that "dumb" extra stuff will be going? :D Not only that, but helping production values of a game like this? Sign me up!!

    46. Creator Isaiah on September 29, 2012

People seem to be forgetting what this is for. The kickstarter is funding the production of the game! The more money they get, the better the game will be! You're only cheating yourself out of a higher quality game by downgrading your donation for such selfish reasons.

Everyone needs to stop treating the kickstarter like a goddamn shop.

    47. Creator GadgetTR on September 28, 2012

Screw everything else. I just want to know what the "Homestuck-themed USB" will look like.

    48. Creator trilbyDude on September 28, 2012

but for real, what is the point in downgrading your pledge? That's.... that's just really selfish, wow. Like if you were willing to part with that much money in the first place, why would getting more stuff, even if it isn't stuff you want, make you less likely to part with it?? If it's that important to you there are definitely other people who'd make that money back up to you to get their hands on most of this stuff, I mean wow.
