Posthumous: Volume One is the first installment of a 5 part sci-fi/fantasy graphic novel series.
Posthumous follows the adventures of Adrian Mercury and Morgana as they try to reach the opposite edge of the Milky Way Galaxy in order to fulfill Adrian's lifelong dream of seeing the other side. Too bad one of them is an actively rotting zombie. Decomposition tends impose a pretty tight deadline, especially when you're trying to cross a galaxy spanning 100, 000 light years.
Book One sees the duo on a dead world searching for a missing ship, the "Apollo's Chariot." Their search quickly leads them into the heart of the planet itself and an adventure that will reveal not only the fate of the "Chariot" and the many other ships that have vanished there, but the reason why the civilization that once inhabited this world disappeared.
Created largely during the writer/artist's term as Artist-in-Residence at Happy Harbor Comics, the novel clocks in at 48 pages and will include some bonus material. It will be published in black and white with a full-colour cover.
Risks and challenges
Although this is a debut novel, it's already ready to go to print. I have contacts within the indie comic industry that will help ensure this project avoids some of the major pitfalls of first-time publishing, and make sure the book is ready to ship on time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
