Back from Winnipeg and Ready to Go!
First off, a quick campaign update: we just reached our second stretch goal! This means there will be 30 more recipes in the book, than originally planned for!
After this weekend's to to Winnipeg, that's a good thing - SO many foods to develop recipes for! Wish I had time to recover a bit from the insane amount of shopping and eating, but some of the source material items have really short shelf lives, so I'm back at it this morning!
I'm excited to dive into this. Reverse engineering is fun enough as it is... But to replicate source material for one main recipe, and then figure out how to do a great gluten-free version as well? Love it! Problem solving is my *jam*!
I just looked at the campaign for a solid "this is how many days we have left" to mention here accurately, and it's now in the hours - 71, to be exact!
Thank you guys again for all of your help in backing and promoting this project. It's going to be a great cookbook. Educational to some (non-Canadians, especially), will share a bit about our culture, and will probably be a bit of a sanity saver to many fellow expats! (And to Canadians who are now gluten-free, and are also missing their favourite Canadian foods!)
Now, I've got recipes to develop, and a grocery list to make!
