It's been a quiet week. Have been catching up on worked I missed, and planning ahead to our trip in a few weeks.
Homemade versions of Philly Cream cheese dips got added to the wish list last night.. I can't believe I missed them up til this point! My favourite was Dill Pickle, but I've had requests for several of the other flavours. What is/was your favourite?
At this point, I have enough of a wish list for recipes that it would cover several stretch goals, but I'm still open to suggestions - especially before we leave on our research/source material buying trip!
This weekend, we'll be shooting a few recipes, including honey garlic sauce. Usually, I know exactly how I want to present a recipe, but this one gave me pause. It's one of those things that is versatile enough that everyone has a different favourite way of using it. Wings? Meatballs? Ribs? Stir fry?
I polled a group of Canadian expats the other day, and the replies were kind of amazing. For a cheap bottle of sauce that most Canadians don't give much thought to, it sure stirred up some cravings for those away! One reply even got into what colour of dish should be used - how's that for vivid memories?
One thing that many of us agree on - we don't get why honey garlic wings aren't really a THING here. :)
Anyway, I should get back to work here, just wanted to pop in and give an update of where we are at with everything.
Right now, we're about $1000 away from reaching the first stretch goal of another 10 recipes. We're also in the midst of the mid-campaign slump, so any help in promoting this campaign is appreciated! Be sure to tell all of your friends - Canadian or otherwise!
