Hey everyone!

Wow, we passed the 50% mark in the first 24 hours!  Thank you for all of your support!

This is a project I've been looking forward to doing for a long time, and have just been waiting for the right time.  with 2017 being the 150th anniversary of Canada's confederation... it feels like the right time!

We have already started development of the cookbook - planning out what recipes we'd like to have in there (still taking suggestions though!) , etc.

We've recently been shooting / reshooting some of my tried-and-true recipes, that we've either never photographed, or just haven't photographed in a way suitable for the book.

As an example, this weekend I made a batch of my ridiculous Maple Walnut ice cream.  Very rich and creamy, all of the sweetness in this comes from maple syrup - there is no supplementary sugar. It's a luxurious ice cream, unlike anything you can buy!

Sure, it might not have NEEDED that extra maple syrup drizzled over it, but doesn't it look amazing? (Tasted just as amazing!)

I'm aiming to get a few more of my traditional-type recipes photographed in the next few weeks, before taking a quick trip home to pick up some source material.  We have a long list of beloved sauces, snack foods, chocolate bars, etc that I will be developing replica recipes for.

Now ... I just wonder how much Chalet Sauce they'll let me buy for take out.  Hmmm.. :)

Anyway!

Thank you again for all of your support!  The first few days are really, really important to the success of any Kickstarter.  We're still hoping to get noted as a "Projects we Love" - popularity on KS tends to bring all kinds of perks!

If you'd like to further help us towards that distinction, please consider leaving a comment on the main More Than Poutine campaign page, and/or sharing the project with your friends and social media followers - we appreciate all the help we can get!

I should get back to work here, just wanted to pop on and say thank you!
