Have a question?
I wasn't getting any notifications that there were comments waiting, sorry about that!
As I'd updated back in the fall - there was going to be a LONG lull before I'd have anything to update, as we'd done the vast majority of the book (development, editing, photography, etc) leading up to and during the hop harvest last season, and were waiting on the shoots to come up THIS season in order to finish.
The shoots have *just* started coming up, so we're back to it now!
It's been 7 months since the last update, still no book and the only thing you've provided is a request for more money for another project.
This is not encouraging. :(
Hey! I'm still excited for this, but haven't heard anything in a while. Cans you give us an update please? How are the recipes coming? Instructions on making hop oil? Found a publisher yet? Started the editing process yet? Thanks a bunch! Just curious on where the project is!
One for hophead me, and one as a gift for hophead brother. :-)
It will include both!
Thank you for your kind words!
Hey Marie! Just curious- will the cookbook include tips about growing your own hops or where to attain them? The pictures in your last update were beautiful!
I've backed Marie's gluten-free cookbooks and I'm just as excited to back her latest project. She is a food sorceress! (don't worry, that's a good thing)
My husband and I love homebrewing and cooking - here's to more recipes where those worlds colide!
Backed! I'm a hophead, and I love my IPA's - and the quality time I spend in the kitchen. The best of luck to you Marie! Cheers. What's the most obscure hop that you've worked with so far?
I can't wait! Very excited about this kickstart!
WOW. That made me cry! Thank you so much! I am so happy to hear when people are enjoying my cookbooks, it makes me even more excited to get started with this one!
To all you backers or would be backers out there: I can't adaquately explain just how wonderful and exacting Marie's recipes are. I'm one of those people that gets lazy halfway through a recipe and will devolve into saying phrases like "um... That could work maybe?" I pushed through with the recipes in Beyond Flour and was well rewarded. This woman is a food alchemist! Her books will make you proud to own them!
Marie, I can't tell you how excited I am for this book! I'm hoping our financial situation changes soon so I'll be able to pick up a couple for as gifts! I'm so so happy that you are back and I'm sure this book is going to be a very worthy addition to your pantheon of awesomeness!
I am so incredibly excited for this kickstarter! I have had the good fortune of being able to try the Hoppy Pickles and OMG, they are DELICIOUS. Marie's cookbooks are so easy to follow and are really fun to use. I'm not an adventurous cook, but in using her other books I've tried making things I never thought I would and used spices that I would have had no clue how to use. Everything I've tried has turned out great and it's because she writes in such a way that none of the recipes are intimidating. Looking forward to adding this one to my collection.
