Looks like the time has come to announce some stretch goals!

When I budgeted for this project, I made sure that the original goal of $10,000 was enough to develop and print the book, fulfill backer rewards, and account for all of the processing fees.

I am so thrilled with the response to the book - it tells me that there REALLY is a market for this. As we fund over the initial level, I can embark on a modest publicity campaign for the book - this was a "nicety", and as such, was not budgeted for in the initial goal. Expenses involved would include such things as media kit development and printing, review copies of books, postage, press contact subscription fees, etc

For $5,000 in additional funding, I can put together a reasonable PR campaign, focusing on mainstream print, tv, and radio media.

For $10,000 in additional funding, we can cast a wider net, marketing to blogs, specialty media, etc.

For $15,000 in additional funding, we can promote the book to smaller, independent bookstores, specialty retailers, and boutiques.

As we hit each of those milestones, I'll be sure to come up with some way of thanking you all for your continued support, and all of the help you've provided in promoting this project!

      HI Dan,

Like I'd mentioned "As we hit each of those milestones, I'll be sure to come up with some way of thanking you all for your continued support, and all of the help you've provided in promoting this project!"

It funded pretty fast, and I honestly hadn't had time to research appropriate stretch goal rewards. I'm looking into it!

I like the idea of this book and I'm happy you're trying to get it out there with advertising but none of these stretch goals reward backers. Normally stretch goals have something a backer can get to entice them to give/give more like stickers, bookmarks or an appendix of gluten free related stuff for example.
