Update on the Sequel!
So, it's been about 2 weeks since the Beyond Flour 2 campaign launched, and I'm happy to say that we've already reached the minimum level of funding to make it happen!
Now, we're working on stretch goals to allow for more recipes in the book.
So, for those of you who haven't backed the project yet, I just wanted to let you know about a couple of really cool recipes I've developed for it in the past couple of weeks:
1. Graham Crackers.
Actual, legitimate graham crackers that taste just like the real thing - rather than cinnamon flavoured normal crackers. If I didn't make them myself, I wouldn't believe that they're NOT loaded with wheat germ - so yummy! For more details, click here.
2. Hybrid Tortillas.
Love the taste of corn tortillas, but hate the texture? These are *the* answer. They look and act like flour tortillas, and taste even MORE like corn than normal corn tortillas. Fresh off the griddle, they taste just like fresh roasted sweet corn!
They're flexible and tasty even at room temperature the next day! For more details, click here.
I am super proud of both of these recipes. Each features a "secret" ingredient - inexpensive, not difficult to come by - that's not commonly used in these ways. I can't wait to share them in the book - each is pretty genius, if I do say so myself!
I am currently working on a couple "holy grail" recipes - bagels and pretzels - and hope to have them in the final book. (They will only be in the book if they meet some pretty lofty expectations though, click here for more details on that!).
SO. If you haven't yet backed the new project, I'd love to have you on board! The direct link to the Kickstarter campaign is https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1428876084/beyond-flour-2-a-fresh-approach-to-gluten-free-coo But www.beyondflour2.com also works.
Once again, thank you for all your support, both on the original book, and this sequel. I appreciate all of the help you guys contribute, both backing and sharing the link with your friends!
Hope you're having a great weekend, I'm going to go get back to work now!
