Let me tell you about the bagels...
They're ugly and are a bit of a hassle to make, BUT:
- They taste amazing.
- They're great fresh out of the oven, later that day, and even several days later.
- You can eat them room temperature if you want, the texture is fine - not gummy OR dry. (Like normal bagels, however... toasted is nicer!).
So, there is that! I managed to get it perfected RIGHT in time for the deadline, so the books will still ship on time, late in October.
Unfortunately, licorice isn't going to happen, this time around. Will keep working on it for a future book or blog entry, after I take a bit of a break from developing this book!
