Big Driver is a student short film based upon a short story by Stephen King.
The story is adapted from Stephen King's book, Full Dark, No Stars. Students in the Television and Film Arts Program at SUNY Buffalo State obtained the rights to produce this film from Stephen King through his Dollar Baby program.
Dollar Baby, a term coined by best-selling author Stephen King in reference to a select group of students, aspiring filmmakers or theater producers whom he has granted permission to adapt one of his short stories for $1
The students will use the funds raised in this campaign to pay professional actors, hire a make-up artist, rent specialized lighting equipment not available at the SUNY Buffalo State and purchase set props and special signage. Students will not be paid for the project.
"The Big Driver student short film adapted from the Stephen King story will be great on my demo reel."

Risks and challenges
We are a bunch of students who love films. We love to watch films and make films. We have an opportunity to make a great film based upon a short story by Stephen King with your support. We need the funds raised to pay professional actors and rent some of the specialized equipment we'll need to make this film.
We will work at our very best to make this film a compelling story, with high production values.
This project is non-profit. This film is to help us gain the professional experience we need to work in the film business!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
