Calculators are essential. We use them at work, school, or while running errands on the daily. As vital as this instrument is, the design and the typing experience has not been changed in years. However, at Lofree, we want to take on this challenge and give the calculator a fresher look and feel.
Keeping in line with our signature Lofree style, we created the Lofree Digit calculator, the first retro inspired mechanical calculator. Its mechanical switches offer a tactile and responsive typing experience to help let increase your efficiency and productivity.
Digit is all you need to compute all your basic calculations. Not only do you improve your typing experience, Digit’s playful design will look good in any setting.
The keycap is what makes the lofree keyboard unique. Spherical round keycaps designed perfectly for your fingers.
Thanks to its mechanical key switches, you receive physical responses reminding you of your productivity by hearing and feeling the keycaps clicking clacking as you crunch the numbers away.
As a new member of the Lofree family, Digit incorporates Lofree’s signature style. Similar to the keyboards, it’s retro design and dot keycaps are inspired from the 1960’s.
Digit has a 6º tilted screen design for optimal vision clarity and stability. Calculate and read the screen with ease and comfort.
Digit’s auto-sleep mode makes it energy efficient and elongates its battery life.
Digit’s highly efficient energy controller makes the Digit calculator last more than 500 hours with a single AAA battery.

Risks and challenges
With a successful crowdfunding of Lofree Keyboard on Indiegogo and Poison on Kickstarter, we are confident that we can get support across the globe if we continue to make great stuff. That’s why we are launching the Digit on Kickstarter. We want to change the design of the calculator again. This is not our first time to create keyboards. But our team worked around the clock in the past few months. Finally, we have overcome all of the problems, hence our Kickstarter campaign, and mass production soon!
