The film is finished + more great news
I can't believe that it has been NINE months since our last update. Wow - so much has happened. First and foremost - we finished the film!! And we are so so so very happy with it. We are in the process of figuring out our distribution now and will get back to you about our world premiere and theatrical release plans. Those dates will also influence when we can send the film out to those that chose it as a reward.
Back to the film - it's 80 minutes long. In fact, we did a couple test screenings last year at the Kickstarter Headquarters in Brooklyn to great avail. And, big news, inspired by one of the themes of the film ("never give up"), iconic R&B/jazz singer Roberta Flack came out of retirement to record an original song for the film. Roberta suffered a stroke in early 2016 and had resigned to a life of listening rather than singing. She was a close friend of the founder of the 3100 - Sri Chinmoy - however, and when she heard the film was being made, wanted to help in any way she could. Our composer, Michael A. Levine, wrote an original song for her, which brought her back into the studio for the first time since her stroke. She did an incredible job and we're planning on sending all of our KS backers a free download to the song when it's publicly available.
So ... more to come! We'll announce our world premiere for those who chose attendance as a reward - and then our theatrical launch dates.
We think that this film (with your support) has the power to radically inspire people to feel the beauty and spirituality of running and we're grateful to have your help and friendship.
