Bringing Postick to Europe and the US

It's been a long time since you all helped me bring Postick to life in 2012. In these four years Posticks have been sold in the US, France, Holland, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Jamaica (to name a few). They've been featured in magazines ranging from Vogue Bambini in Italy to Cosmo and Oprah Magazine to Women & home and have been featured on various wonderful blogs.

It's time for this little brand to move on up and I'm looking for someone to partner with in the EU and the US. If you know of someone who might be interested in taking Postick on as a brand or serving as a distributor to the US and the EU please point them in my direction.

Thanks again for your support :)

Festive season Postick specials for Kickstarter

Hello again

It's been a fantastic year for Postick. The response to these little stickers has been overwhelming. In the past 12 months Postick and the illustrated cards have been sent to the Carribbean Islands, The Netherlands, various locations in the US, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, Russia Argentina, Israel, Portugal, Argentina and South Africa. I was also invited to sell them at a Fair in Johannesburg last month and the response was fantastic.

The cards I illustrated as rewards for the Postick campaign have become somewhat of a hit and I've had no choice but to turn them into an ongoing range... Which I'm obviously thrilled about.

If you'd like to offer Posticks to your favourite people as gifts (they make fabulous stocking fillers and gifts for kids) please feel free to order them from me directly using Pay Pal or have a look at the Etsy store (for non South Africans) and the Hello pretty Store for those who want to pay in ZAR.

I have designed an extended range of cards for the festive season. If you'd like to be one of the first people to get your fingers on them have a look at the full range here. I'm launching my festive season offer with you wonderful Kickstarter backers as another "thank you for believing in me":

Buy 5 cards, get 1 free.
Buy 10 cards, get 2 free.
Buy ten packs of 10 or 20 Posticks and get the 11th one free :)

*Offer ends on December 26 2013.

Have a fabulous festive season!

Postick International

Hello again!

One year ago this project was live and successfully funded on Kickstarter. It's fun to look back at all the things that have happened in the space of 12 months. I've certainly learned a lot about starting a little business.

Thanks to all of you Postick is now available on two continents (Europe and Africa) in 8 stores, on 5 online stores. A second batch of 30 000 Postick labels has been printed in Cape Town and I'm starting to post them to various stores around the country.

I'm excited to have been invited onto a six-month government-funded program for entrepreneurs where I'm being guided through the logistics of running a tight ship and building an empire (hopefully :). Today was the introductory session in the program and I'm looking forward to the weeks ahead working with a bunch of super talented entrepreneurs in various fields

I recently launched an official Postick page on Facebook. Those of you who are sending beautiful Postick postcards around the world, I'd love to display them on the page for everyone to see. I'll also be launching Postick-related initiatives from the facebook page so definitely check it out and LIKE the page if you'd like to stay up to date.

If you'd like to replenish your stock of Posticks or if you'd like to send a gift pack to someone special, you can purchase them online (Internationally) from my Etsy store and locally (South Africa) from my Hello Pretty store.

For those of you who live in South Africa, Postick is now available at: Orms (CT & Bellville), HeartWorks (Gardens), Abode (Biscuit Mill), This is Not a Post Office (Kloof Street), Audio Lens (Waterfront) and The Deckle Edge (Woodstock & Constantia). If there's a store you know would be perfect for Postick, let me know and I'll get in touch with them.

For those of you who live in the Netherlands, you can buy Postick at From Africa with Love in Amsterdam!

The Postcard Happiness Project is live and kicking so if you feel like spreading the love, have a look at the people who are up and send them a friendly postcard. You'll be making their day :)

Once again, thank you for your support. I could not have done this without you. If there's a store or chain that you think should stock Postick, tell them about it and send them to the page for more info.

Have a beautiful day!

Postick 2013

Hello and happy 2013!

I hope you're all having a ridiculously awesome start to the new year. I haven't posted any updates in a while so I thought I'd fill you in on what's been happening with Postick here in Cape Town. Let me begin by saying thank you to all the backers for the beautiful postcards I've been receiving. It feels like it's my Birthday every time I go to the mailbox. Such lovely insights into the things and places you love. It's certainly magnified my desire to travel again in the near future. So many beautiful places to visit and things to see. Don't be afraid: if you haven't sent that extra Postick yet it's never too late.

I've been loading a backer postcard a day (almost every day...) to the facebook Postcard Happiness page so if you'd like to see them and maybe spot the one you sent in all its glory, “Like” the page and it will show up in your activity feed. I add all sorts of interesting info and projects to the page so you won't be disappointed. Alternatively follow me on Twitter @PostcardHappy for relatively regular updates.

I sold some packs of Postick at a Christmas Market in December and it was great to see people's reactions to the labels. The little stall was abuzz with shoppers all day which was a wonderful surprise. I've also started approaching retailers with them and so far so good. In fact I was at Orms just this morning showing the friendly people behind the counter how they work.

Posticks are now available on online Etsy and for those who would like to purchase them directly from me online I have activated my PayPal account. As far as retailers in Cape Town go they're available at Orms and at the Exposure Gallery in Woodstock (watch this space).

I have contacted some of you about returned parcels and addresses that have changed. If you have not received your rewards by now it means they're at your ex girlfriend's house, your neighbour's dog's eaten them or they've been sucked into the postal black-hole. If it's the latter please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I was fortunate to get asked to illustrate some cards for Yuppie Chef based on the cards I designed as rewards for me Kickstarter campaign. The clever team at Yuppie Chef produced the cards in a way that they become re-usable postcards for their clients. Genius!

That's it for now. I hope you've sent off some super beautiful postcards already. If you haven't made the time yet, put five minutes aside this weekend. you'll make your grandmother's day!

Here are some of the postcards I've received.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Posticks for all

I don't think the local post office has been this busy in a long time. On Monday this past week I posted every last Postick reward beyond the fortune postcards. So keep your eyes on the mailbox.

More great news is that Hello Pretty have asked to sell Postick on their online store which means you can finally purchase Posticks online here. I already sold two packs of Postick on the first day! Olé! I'm also working on a direct online facility on the Postcard Happiness website but I'll definitely let you know when that's up and running.

If you receive your rewards and you're beaming with happiness because it feels like Christmas, feel free to add a little post about it on the Postcard Happiness Facebook page or even better, post a picture of your rewards. You could also tweet about it @postcardhappy with a #kickstarter (if that's your thing).

It felt great to send off that last little package. I've really enjoyed this process from start to postage. Time for phase three: getting Postick into the stores and to learn a bunch of business jargon. I'm looking forward to it. If you're a successful business person or entrepreneur and you have some advice you wish you'd heard back at the start of your business, I'd love to hear it so feel free to send me a message.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
