WHO WE ARE
[Foreign Affairs] is an international theatre company based in Hackney Wick, London. It was formed in 2010 by Camila França and Trine Garrett.
[Foreign Affairs] was conceived with a simple idea: To cultivate a creative environment in which people from all walks of life can come together to explore, work with and develop new, exciting and unusual ideas to showcase to the world.
Why the square brackets? Because we can! (and we don't want to be confused with some governmental organisation.)

WHAT WE DO
We are a text-based, site-responsive, physical theatre company. Simply put, we bring theatre to new audiences and unconventional locations. Pop-up theatre at it’s best!
Since our maiden voyage at The Lord Napier, RIP, [Foreign Affairs], has continued to bring theatre to new audiences across London. Venues include: Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, ]performance s p a c e[, Nyborg’s Kitchen and our very own Pop-up Crime Scene and West End Pop-up Theatre.

WAITING ON SHAKESPEARE is our biggest adventure to date. After the recent success of TO MOSCOW WITH LOVE - a Chekhovian mash-up - we are looking to work with a similar concept, this time using the words of William Shakespeare.
The production explores the themes of love, lust and death using extracts from some of Shakespeare's greatest hits. Think i-pod shuffle Shakespeare ...
A feast fit for a king
Eight dinner guests dressed to the nines
All waiting ...
Who are they? Where are they? What's the special occasion? And why the hell are they all speaking in rhyming couplets?
We are very excited to announce that the internationally acclaimed Argentinian director, Claudio Hochman will be directing the show - initially via modern means of communication (Skype) before joining us in London for the final leg of our rehearsals and opening night, helping to make this our best show ever.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Producing theatre isn't cheap! We are an independent company with no public funding. With your contribution and support, we will be able to improve the overall quality of the show - set, costumes, props, tech stuff, marketing, etc. We can then reach more people and continue to spread the word about what we do!
Risks and challenges
We understand that setbacks can occur, we've been bringing theatre to mad venues for over three years now and we've learned to always have a plan B, C and D ready.
We’ve got our cast. We’ve got our team. We've got our show. The dates are confirmed and we've got our venue.
Now we need you! The audience is the most important part of our work. Please help us today by contributing to our campaign or by spreading the word.
