nosi DANCE theater is raising funds for an evening of contemporary dance entitled "a shotgun showing (3+2=5)!" on January 19th, 2013 in Durham, NC. this performance includes 3 concert premieres and 2 repertory favorites of our unique, raw choreography. the premieres include commissioned pieces created for the NC Museum of Art, Durham School of the Arts and Triangle Dance Festival for AIDS.
we need help from people who want to support the 1st contemporary dance company in Durham. all funds raised during this Kickstarter campaign will help to cover production costs including costumes, tech crew, promotional items and to compensate our AMAZING & LOYAL company dancers.
nosi DANCE theater is a multi-faceted contemporary dance company based in Durham, NC. our goal is to broaden the dance community, thru its participants, audiences and exposure.
as the artistic director, i present works which blend modern, jazz, ballet and ethnic techniques based upon my own training at the Ailey School, Limon Institute and the American Dance Festival. in addition to presenting our own concerts, the company was invited and performed at the American Dance Festival's Acts to Follow, SparkCON and the NC Dance Festival tour.
i am lucky enough to be surrounded by incredible dancers who lend their time and talent to help me create dance for the masses.

Risks and challenges
as with any project, there are certain risks and challenges. whether it's scheduling dancers, finding time to sew costumes, or designing and paying for marketing materials- all of these encompass the work it takes to produce a show.
luckily, this is not the first show I have produced. I know how to evaluate issues and create solutions.
what I do know, is that additional funding from the Kickstarter community will help alleviate monetary challenges that may arise.
we appreciate you joining us in this project and supporting nosi DANCE theater!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
