About this project
The story of Madam Satan has been resurrected in the form of a 52-page square bound, full color graphic novel. Drawn and colored by Shelby Robertson ('94, Crypt, Latex Alice) and written by Elizabeth Wheeler this book is only the beginning of what we plan on being an on going story following Detective DuMonde and Special Agent Rois as they track down killer Satrinah Morte who has been resurrected from Hell as Madam Satan.
Originally introduced in 1941 Madam Satan is a Golden Age (public domain) character that was published by Pep Comics. She was replaced after only 5 issues by the more family friendly Archie Comics. Forgotten until now, we are brushing off the cobwebs and bringing this Mistress of Darkness back in a very big way. Fueled by an infatuation to dissolve the human race in order to help her Master take his place as enslaver of the world. You will find that the Madam's deadly deeds can only be countered by a group of shunned angels and the mysterious Order of Gaia. Filled to the brim with demons, fallen angels and mystery this graphic novel promises to be only the start of a deeply twisted adventure.
Interior Sequential Pages-
THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN-
Taking on a project as big as this isn't cheap, and we simply can't do it with out your help. We are 80% finished with the pencils for this book and Shelby has already begun laying his flats down for colors as well. All funds pledged to this project will allow us not only to put out Madam Satan: Deadly Origins but will also let us begin production on following issues (we have 3 additional 52-page issues laid out and scripted, please see stretch goals for more information) and to get the books in as many hands as possible by attempting to have it distributed nationally by Diamond Distribution either through American Dischord, our self publishing company or though a known publisher. This book, while dealing with some darker topics will be rated PG-13, think Ghostrider but without the redemption aspect.
Also, feel free to join the Facebook event I have set up for the Kickstarter, I will be posting updates there as well as here as the project continues. www.facebook.com/events/384026091769800

Risks and challenges
This Kickstarter isn't our first rodeo, we successfully launched, funded (and completed!) a Kickstarter for issues 1-3 of Shelbys comic book '94 last March. We definitely ran into some problems but it was an amazing learning experience and both Shelby and myself believe that by keeping the entire creative team in house this time from the very beginning (everything from pencils, writing, coloring, letters and on will be done by one of us) we can keep those issues from repeating themselves. We have cut the amount of conventions we will be doing in half which will ideally allow us to complete the packing and shipping of the product in a timely matter and focus more on giving you the fans the very best books we can make. We will also be utilizing BackKit to help streamline our shipping process.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
