The creation of Tachyon Rider is currently a solo project. Funding will allow for unique, high quality music to better immerse the player into the Tachyon world. Every aspect of Tachyon Rider will feel exciting and new with plenty of character to set it aside from your regular VR experience. Funding also enables more time and dedication to be administered into the project as well as hiring help where needed. Completion of stretch goals will provide the funding for a bigger and more immersive experience, more game modes, and even the possibility to invite your friends for the ride!
Planned platforms include:
Oculus Rift/Rift S/Quest/Vive
With funding/demand: Index/PSVR
2019 Q1 - Campaign/Development
2019 Q2-Q3 - Music/Development
2019 Q4 - Polish
2020 Q1 - Release!
Tachyon Rider is being developed inside the Unreal Engine along side Blender for high resolution assets and textures and an overall high quality experience
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge will be completing the project according to the timeline, but with funding the risks will be greatly minimized as it will allow for more time, dedication and quality of content. Tachyon Rider will also need to pass the Oculus Quest Concept Approval Process for Quest support. As an avid gamer and developer, I have no plans to release an unfinished/unpolished game. My goal is to present the best experience for my backers upon release which includes updates and communication along the way. Tachyon Rider will be completed, though the release date is subject to change.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
