World Maker Fair explorers loved playing Magnets: The Game all weekend long. Here are some of the many praises said about Magnets: The Game:
"This could be BIG."
"Ok, this game just got really exciting."
"This game is actually a lot of fun."
"Of course I want to toss magnets."
"Oh, I didn't think I'd be good at this."
"I just like watching, it's so cool."
Risks and challenges
I have been self producing Magnets: The Game in progressively larger orders for years in preparation for this moment. It's been a process of learning from mistakes, building from successes and creating relationships with manufactures and retailers. I’ve doubled production lead times, recruited help, and added error margins to cushion the quotes. Magnets: The Game is ready to scale.
Fulfillment is expected by late December, in time for the holidays. This quick production schedule is possible because most of the components are produced in USA, but not the magnets. I have a 7-year relationship with a Chinese magnet manufacturer, and they are eager to fulfill this order. If delays occur we will use Air Freight for import. They have made a sample already this year thats been safety tested and approved for 3+ in the USA, EU, AUS, and NZ.
I currently have stock of enough components that I can guarantee Christmas delivery for 100 copies. This comes with a premium and is meant only as a fail-safe for Santa. It is my plan that all copies are shipped at the same time in December.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
